The very first time I remember following the ongoing results was during the Carter / Reagan election. And back then even though I was way too young to vote and didn’t understand politics all that much, after that election was over that night and the results were all in, I often wondered shortly after that night how things would have went for America had Carter actually won instead of Reagan.

With last night’s election we’re going to now see how a fucked up president and a fucked up administration who fucked away America over the past four years now can further fuck away this country over the next four years. That’s the great thing about this situation that we are in now. No one will ever know how a Romney/Ryan leadership would have been, but we do know how the Obama/Biden leadership operates based on the last four years. It’s going to be the same old shit but just a different term is all.

The WHOLE world outside the U.S. was AMAZED when G.W.Bush got his second term.

Not me.

Kerry was NO seriously to be considered option.

If Obama didn't clean up the mess fast enough... is NO reason to elect the mess-makers back into power.

Maybe the GOP needs to figure out that the country is made up of more than middle aged white men who make more then $250,000/year.

Just keep believing the shit you've been spoon fed on that issue. As we sometimes say, never underestimate the stupidity and gullibility of the average American voter. I'd kill to get anywhere near $250K and so would almost all of my Pubbie friends and relatives. In fact, there are only two friends of mine who come close to approaching that. What we are, are workers not takers.

Limbaugh has it right on today, you guys voted for Santa Claus. Enjoy your new Gov run health care and tax hikes. Got a feeling you'll be done playing with your new toys rather quickly and they'll soon be tucked under the bed with last years shiney new things.

So ironic that you're accusing people of being spoon-fed in one paragraph and then admitting to listening to Rush Limbaugh in the next paragraph. When are you going to start rubbing last night's result in my face? Oh, wait.....

4 more years baby :D

Now I'm no fan of the Republican party and haven't been nor wanted to be registered as one for many years now. That being said, your above quote is ridiculous. The power figures in both major political parties are only after the almighty dollar. They both feed from the same trough and wipe their asses the exact same way.

By the way, the $250,000 figure is total bunk also. It's an arbitrary number and that number includes TONS of small business owners. Small business owners typically report their company's income as their own on their tax returns, so they are by and large not "middle-aged white men".

Go ahead. Swing even further to the right next time, and guarantee that the GOP stays in the political ash heap of history right alongside the Tories and the Whigs. As it is, the most recent GOP presidential contest featured an array of true-believer primary candidates (Santorum, Bachmann, Cain) expressing all sorts of nutty, extreme and unpopular positions that make Barry Goldwater look like Jane Fonda. Romney didn't run as a Massachusetts moderate, on every issue from self-deportation to supply side economics, he was as conservative as Genghis Khan. He was the very epitome of your mythical "real conservative." This election was a referendum on conservative catechism and it was soundly rejected. Don't start blaming the liberals. It wasn't the liberals who scored Romney the GOP nomination. It was conservatives in primary elections. And it wasn't liberals that cost Romney last night either, it was the conservative base and Romney's unyielding fealty to them. Romney pandered to the Tea Party and as a result, undercut his appeal to wide swaths of other voting demographics. Leave it to the party of self-responsibility to point fingers at others when analyzing just where they dropped the ball. For starters - your candidate was a slick smarmy douchebag.

My wife and I voted for Romney. We've only voted for presidents four times. We're now two for two. Twice we voted for Bush and he won both times, and twice we didn't vote for Obama and he won.

The slick smarmy, rock star Messiah wanna-be, douchebag is none other than the one currently residing in the White House. I won't argue that Romney was the greatest candidate in the world but just about anyone at this point would be better than Obama. It's too bad half the population is apathetic enough to believe he's going to do anything other than trying to finish running this country straight into the ground.

All the other kids voted for Obama. She was telling her mother this last night after Obama won the election. Both her kids 7 and 11 years old were in bed sleeping and when the results came out, the woman got her kids up to tell them about it. They came out of their beroom jumping around happy over the results. The daughter then goes on to tell the mother about the election they had the day before in class. She says that her daughter called the boy who voted for Romney a twit for voting that way.

This same Britt steals from the company by using the company postage machine to send stuff back home to the UK to all of her relatives behind the owners back and brings home stuff that the owner has in the refrigerator every night. When the boss is not in the office, she leaves early for the day and asks me not to say anything to the boss about it.

Just another typical Obama supporter turning out her 7 and 11 year old kid to carry on her fucked up traditional values. Way to go Obama supporters.

So what about the other 23 kids?

Behshad, I'm not sulking or even mildly depressed about the results of the election last night. Slightly disappointed but that's it. I don't appreciate the rubbing it in factor. I wouldn't be doing so to you had Romney won last night and I would expect the same treatment in return.

Behshad, once again, you just don't know me. I've NEVER rubbed in the results of any of the Presidential elections going back to when Bush was elected. In fact, when Obama was elected in 2008, I wrote an article on my blog that, even though I didn't vote for him, I was proud that we had made another step forward in electing a black man as President. There hasn't been any gloating coming from this voter.

Just maybe those Brits have brought up thinking that they are entitled to everything cradle to grave from the govt . They dont see raiding the fridge and and stealing postage stealing, hell the govt takes from others to provide for them. It always has They learned that growing up in the cradle to grave social democratic nanny state where they come room and thats what you get, pilferers. But dont single out these Brits just cos they are the ones in front of you!!. For example- Last night Northern Virginians- Fairfax county bless them - voted the way they did only because the government can provide them their sweat juicy DC area federal contracts- easy way of making a living, the funding of which is taken forcibly from other citizens via oppressive taxes.. Think that general attitude ever leads them to pilfer from a neighbor or workplace. You damn sure better believe it.

Point is dont just get mad at these Brits doing it,

I know you well enough. Youre a good dude , just a tad misguided :P
You haven't gloated here about a presidential victory cause neither pf us were members here back in 2004

And all the time you've joined FF and RWF , "gloating" about poll results , doesn't count of course.

Here comes the first big tax hike of the next few years , now knowing Boner, her will agree a big hike and no real entitlement reform in it! Hope to God someone tries to challenge this cry-baby for speaker.

House Speaker John Boehner urged President Obama to work with Republicans in talks to avoid the looming "fiscal cliff," saying the two sides are closer to comprehensive tax overhaul than many think. In his remarks, which came a day after the president's re-election, Boehner said a budget deal could include "new revenues" if accompanied by changes to entitlement programs.

The class warfare is just hilarious. If you can't get enough of your own, just envy someone else's.
