Where are the lies? I can understand if they did something you didn't agree with, but it was mentioned that Bush flat out lied and I want to know what these lies were.

His administration lied to keep Compean and Ramos in jail well past any amount of time they should have served. They also indicated the Patriot Act would be temporary but he kept signing it back into law year after year (Obama's an even bigger hypocrite on this one, though).

The government has no clue on just how many of these illegals would owe taxes. They keep saying they are "in the shadows" off the grid. Not to mention this administration is the king of entitlements. So, just wait, they will end up creating new deductions for them to take advantage of in addition to the ones already in place. It's not far fetched to say that a good percentage of them will owe little if anything. If this was such a win for new federal tax revenue then we would have seen a similar result with the first amnesty under Regan. Couple that with the situation of lower and lower wages. People in the construction industry have spoken out that the newer illegals have been under cutting the already lower wages that came from the illegals that were already here for some time. Absolutely nothing good will come from this, it will be just the opposite. It will just encourage more of this to occur because we have shown to have no backbone in enforcing our boarder security and prosecuting those that violate it or even deport them. We do exactly the opposite, welcome them with open arms and support them on the backs of hard working legal citizens and those that have entered the U.S. legally. We can only hope that this dies in the house.

While I agee with you that there are plenty of Mexicans, in fact, many immigrants who bust their asses, doing great work, I get to witness the many who are receiving benefits they shouldn't be getting at all. We have several clinics here who cater only to those who are mostly hispanic and they are free clinics, funded by government grants. When I see a mom hand her EBT card to her kids at a gas station, who go in and buy candy and soda pop, then seen them all pile into a newer Escalade, I realize that fraud is taking place. Sure, you can shrug it off as a temporary situation. Maybe someone got laid off, etc., but when you've been seeing these same people around here for many years doing the same, it's not temporary. They shop for and buy vehicles....somehow. There is way more money coming into these households than would qualify these peeps for welfare. They're working it. I tip my hat to the people who work. I despise those who think they can cheat the system. The USA and Mexico have a USDA food stamp program.

If the number is flat on illegals entering this country and leaving then lets just drop the amnesty all together and work putting a system place to process and deport, jail or at the very least fine those that are here. I would agree that there are more legal citizens on entitlements then illegals. Regardless, we have no obligation to support the ones that are. Nor create a situation for more to collect on it. To me the situation is clear. We have had laws on the books for decades on what you need to do to enter this country legally. If you haven't entered through that process then you have broken those laws and should treated according to the law. No matter what race, creed or color you are. The problem is that our government is either too lazy, corrupt or both to enforce those laws. Personally, I wouldn't trust data coming out from any federal agency when comes to the number of illegals in this country. I would be willing to bet the number here is far greater then they have estimated. Ok Don, please explain to me how illigals who do not have social security numbers and collect their earnings "under the table" pay taxes on these earnings? As soon as BOzo hooks up all these illigals, the real paying jobs in this country will be replaced with these workers, factoring out the whites. Wow, I've not heard the word "Beaner" in ages. Brings back memories when I was a high school student working at McDonald's and the first time I heard that word. One of my McDonald's co-workers started yelling at me in front of everyone saying that I think she's a stupid beaner. I calmly asked her what is a beaner, as I never heard that word used until that moment. A Mexican in the "audience" or employees and customers said, "Ok Karina, tell him what a Beaner is". She just walked away. Funny how she was the one "spreading the word".

Also interesting was she ended up quiting a few months later but returning to visit her old co-workers something like 6 to 8 months later, in which she was shocked to shit to find out by seeing for her self that the white boy she was hassling months before was romantically involved with one of her old Mexican co-workers. You’re missing the point entirely either on purpose or by inexperience. There are only "x" amount of jobs available. When they become entitled to all jobs, the American born whites will be "factored out" of the work force. Sure if there were tons of jobs and not enough people to fill them, then I could see your point being logical. But there are only so many jobs available. Jobs like at McDonald's and shit like that are only good for kids working part time while in school and such. You’re now seeing all these jobs being worked by immigrants. Once these immigrants get the legal status handed to them, they aren't going to settle for these type of jobs. They're going to get the jobs that American born citizens now have, so where does that put the American born citizens? Does that sound fair? Does that sound justified? Right now it may to you but in a few years from now when your "factored out" because your boss decides to hire his cousin "Juan" then we'll see how you feel about all of it. This is exactly what happened to me a number of years ago so I know exactly what's the deal. Call it what you want. I'm just not as PC as you. I have many dear friends and co-workers who are Mexican. I am married to a Filipina. I am only citing the conditions where I live and what I see through my own lens. On a broader spectrum I can see why you might feel the way you do about my views. Still, no matter where they came from or how they got here, they broke the law. That's my real beef, not the fact that they are "beaners", as Don calls them. Why not call him out too? BTW, my own brother in law, a Mexican, called me out too and called me a racist as you have, just becaue I want our immigration laws enforced. We remain very good friends and piss each other off quite regularly.

The simple fact is the immigration laws that you want enforced do not refer to any specific ethnicity, so I had no need to either. If they did, your post would be perfectly aligned with the law, and we'd not be having this convo. However, the law doesn't specify ethnicity, yet you on the other hand consistently do. What you can't see is that, by continually focusing on a single ethnicity, it actually is you who is simply "following the herd".

Talk about "PC".

Simply call for enforcement of the law. Period.

Could it be your Mexican brother in law called you a racist because when you talk about wanting immigration laws enforced you only refer to Mexicans as illegals? Ask him, although I'm sure you already know the answer.

You also cannot absolve yourself by citing who you are married to, or who you are related to, or who you know... your beliefs and attitude are your own, and what you say stems from them. Their tolerance (and intolerance) of this has apparently already shown itself, as you've alluded to with your BIL.

Own what you say dude.

The law is crystal clear on immigration, and If you want to speak "truth to power" regarding that.. then focus on only it's non-enforcement by the government. Because THAT is the real issue. That is WHERE the real blame lies.

Who is here illegally, regardless of ethnicity, is the consequence.
