Where the fuck are the Democrats? I'm so disgusted with the portion of the population that used to protest this stuff, and now they give a free pass. Do they not see the forest for the trees? This is so far beyond disgusting and what's worse is I can't find one word about it on Huffington. They should be smacking this down with all the wrath they can build.

Come on Dems - get your shit together and stop giving free passes. My God!

Where are the Dems? There right in lock step with the B.O. Administration. None of these politicians care about the Constitution unless it benefits their agenda. If your waiting for the frauds and crooks in Washington
to stand up for the American people your going to be waiting forever.

An organization called the ACLJ is trying to fight this by collecting signatures on a petition. You can find it here:

Nobody, ever, should need to sign a petition to stop a violation of the constitution. The first amendment was not put in place as a toy. Fuck this asshole and his administration. When are people gonna have enough of his shit? I don't get it.....why he has any support. Anyone who still supports Obama has a serious anti-American tick going on, or is just a morally bankrupt fuck! Oh, but he promised free shit.

I mean people. Citizens. The people that used to fill parks for a cause. Like they would have done if Nixon or Reagan tried this shit. As far as congress doing anything - yea right. Those days are long gone.

We already have proper controls in this country for how news is covered. It's called competition, on/off switches, channel changers, choice, ratings, etc. If Fox News or MSNBC want to cover news their way, so the fuck what. If the FCC is curious about what they are covering, turn on the TV and then leave it at that. Does the government have to control every single thing in our lives? Or know every single statistic? Can't we just be? It's too much thought control. I know that sounds crazy, but when you look at the totality of things the government interferes in and tries to manipulate, it all comes down to marketing and politicizing and control. So much so it just has simply stopped helping anyone but the government itself.

The Federal Communications Commission has pulled the plug on its plan to conduct an intrusive probe of newsrooms as part of a “Critical Information Needs” survey of local media markets.

It should not have taken conservatives to bring this down. But at least someone did. For now.

All this shows is that as long as progressives (read: socialists/communists) in power think they can get away with it, they'll try it.

All of these incursions into unConstitutional territory are just "testing the waters"... except this time those in power are the left.. not the right. This is why the left is not complaining about it.

Same incursion the right did with the Patriot Act, that none of the right complained about, and the left are now using and expanding.

Here's another one: http://www.washingtonsblog.com/2013/06/ ... ver-t.html

See the trend?

People need to wake the fuck up to the fact that neither party represents constitutional values anymore..

With how slow the building of the new containment for the damaged reactor at the Chernobyl nuclear plant maybe nobody will have to worry about the Ukraine. The condition of the nuclear fuel in the reactor continues to degrade which could create another release of massive radiation. That or collapse of the existing containment structure could spew huge clouds of nuclear tainted dust into the atmosphere.

Russia has enjoyed a near monopoly on oil and nat-gas that they've been selling to Europe, one that has given Russia fiscal health and geopolitical influence in Europe. This has been very unsettling to the West.. and Washington in particular.

The exploration of western Ukraine by the big oil companies has yielded new oil and nat-gas discoveries.. and in concert with fracking technology has made the Eastern Ukraine a coveted region, and a now direct competitive threat to the near-monopoly currently held by the Russian national oil company, Gazprom.

The West and the EU having powerful political and financial incentives to support western Ukraine, Poland, Romania in developing energy sources outside of Russian control, while Russia has an incentive to secure energy resources and assets in Eastern Ukraine and Crimea, thus preserving their fiscal health and growing political influence.

Look at the map... check out the the yellow ovals (gas fields) - directly under the existing pipeplines: http://www.eegas.com/images/ukrmap.gif

Remember Obama is a socialist too.. so he and Putin are on the same side...

I've heard that too... that the EU offered 5 Billion, but with austerity.. and Russia offered 15 Billion (no austerity)... which is why Ukraine Pres Yanuckovych took the Russian offer. I get the reasoning for non-russian Ukraine citizens resistance to Putins offer too.

I still believe the heart of this is the East Ukraine nat gas.. and the Euro monopoly for Gazprom.

ya I don't think that will matter to Putin... losing the future oil and nat gas revenue from the EU is prolly more than than any sanctions.. so its prolly a wash.... Putin can threaten to cut off gas and oil to the EU... which means they'd cave..

EDIT: And there it is...

interesting revelation....

"Behind The Kiev Snipers It Was Somebody From The New Coalition" - A Stunning New Leak Released
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-03-0 ... eals-truth

The last time a leaked phone call out of Ukraine was released about a month ago ostensibly by the Russian NSA equivalent, one between US assistant sec state Victoria Nuland and the US envoy to the Ukraine, Geoffrey Pyatt, it was revealed that the real puppet masters behind the Maidan movement, and the true instigators of the Ukraine "revolution" were none other than the "developed" world superpowers, lead by the US. Also revealed were tensions between the US and EU strategies on how to overthrow the current government, culminating with the infamous "Fuck the EU." Needless to say the US, which implicitly confirmed the recording, was angry at Russia and accused it of using dirty tricks.

That's ironic, because when it comes to "dirty tricks" what is about to be presented, blows the top off anything Russia may or has done to date.

Earlier today an even more shocking recording has been "leaked" this time one between the always concerned about human rights EU foreign affairs chief Catherine Ashton and Estonian foreign minister Urmas Paet, in which it is revealed on tape that all those photos of horrifying deaths of Ukrainians by snipers during the last days of the Median stand off, were in fact caused not by Snipers controlled by Yanukovich, but that the snipers shot at both protesters and police in Kiev were allegedly hired by Maidan leaders!

Here is the key exchange, just after 8 minutes into the conversation :

Paet: "All the evidence shows that people who were killed by snipers from both sides, policemen and people from the streets, that they were the same snipers killing people from both sides. ... Some photos that showed it is the same handwriting, the same type of bullets, and it is really disturbing that now the new coalition they don't want to investigate what exactly happened. So there is now stronger and stronger understanding that behind the snipers, it was not Yanukovych, but it was somebody from the new coalition."

Ashton: "I think we do want to investigate. I mean, I didn’t pick that up, that’s interesting. Gosh."

Paet: "It already discreditates (sic) this new coalition."

Yes, it is truly regrettable that the people know the truth.

You guys are such a lot of whiny little babies. 'Obama is a big black man who's gonna take away my rights...' Waaaahhh!

You're a bunch of selective Constitutionalists who can't even stomach the wording of the preamble so you skip right over that to get the parts you think are more important. I feel sorry for the people in your lives because they certainly are dealing with a bunch of deranged lunatics who are ready to snap at any time...

Not that you weren't trying to be offensive... talk about blatantly passive-aggressive..

U.S. Constitution › Preamble
Preamble

We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Pretty obvious what it says and means... and since it can't be taken out of context with the whole of the Constitution (unless one is a passive-aggressive liberal like yourself) your point is moot.

Typical.

You Reagan propagandists obfuscate his legacy, rewriting history by claiming he was a champion of deficit slashing and attributing the end of the Cold War as a manifestation of deliberate international policy. This reductionist perspective is a misrepresentation of a President who, a virtual liberal by contemporary standards, would never win a 21st century Republican primary.

Where was the outrage when three separate attacks killed hundreds of Americans in Beirut in 1983, under Reagan's watch? The same people on this board who are expressing such outrage over since-debunked Faux "news" reports happily rolled over when Bush's Patriot Act supposedly trampled your civil liberties - in fact, nearly unanimously praising it.

The decline and collapse of European communism is almost exclusively attributable to a disparate set of political and social circumstances along the eastern bloc having little to do with American foreign policy. The notion that Reagan set out to bankrupt the Soviet Union belies his reformist approach towards negotiations with Russia and his own accounts of his presidency.

Between 1980 and 1987, the national debt more than tripled; the rate of unemployment averaged 7.7% under his leadership, compared to 6.3% during the Carter years. More than half the four million jobs created during Reagan's tenure were in the public sector. Yet according to the Department of Defense, there were only 35,000 more active duty military personnel in 1988 than in 1980. No, these were your standard-issue, bureaucratic, deficit-swelling federal jobs Faux News troglodytes ritualistically admonish.

There was no denying he was far more a presence as Commander-in-Chief than his post-Kennedy predecessors, and perhaps it's this quality that renders his statistical shortcomings less significant. As an American living in Europe during a tumultuous period bridging those two administrations, however, the perception of Reagan as a threat to global peace was very real and tangible.

Patently, expressly false and misleading.

"When we searched the State Department’s database and lists of 2009 and 2010 projects for "mosque" and "minaret," we found that 30 mosques or minaret restoration projects had received funding under Bush, and seven such sites had been funded under Obama."

The State Department says that, in total, the fund has contributed nearly $26 million to approximately 640 cultural heritage sites in more than 100 countries, and more than half was given before Obama took office.

I see nothing wrong with outreach. We have to make friends in the world and we have the resources to do it. Yea - we are strapped. But we also need to hope for a time when every country doesn't have missiles pointed at each other. It's pretty crazy when you think about it.

One of the things I loved about the Gary Senise charity early on was he had troops handing out pencils and other school supplies to the kids in Iraq and Afghanistan. Builds good will. It allows young children to see us in a better light.

The people we cannot turn will never turn. It's going to take generations of good will. What about all the people in the middle east that absolutely love America - more than some Americans? That had to come from somewhere.

I think when dealing with people and religious outfits, we should be as compassionate as possible. When dealing with their governments, we have to be a lot more tough. That's how it's always been. I'm not a hippie, but I would always like a little peace on earth. So good for Bush and good for Obama on this one. That's my take.

Speaking of Presidents - I was on a flight with Jimmy Carter a few weeks back. He was headed from LA to MN for Joan Mondale's funeral. When I got on the plane, I saw 5 secret service guys, but didn't even think of a president. I thought it was some kind of show of force during the Olympics or something. After a bit, I see Carter coming up the aisle. He waited for the last passenger and then followed him. He shook the hand of every person on board, and then went back to first class. It didn't hit me until that night that I shook the hand of a president. Pretty rare opportunity. And how gracious that he took the time, knowing everyone would want that opportunity.

When I think of the charitable nature of our past presidents, I get so thoroughly frustrated by Al Gore. The guy had immense good will in the world and could have done anything to help good causes. And he just dove into insanity. To me, that defines a terrible character. When you have been handed the keys to do such good and all you try to do is profit by it.

First, let me say, I love your post. I loved Seven Wishes post as well. As for Al Gore. For whatever he's done, or been accused of doing, I flew, as a volunteer, on a flight with him from DFW to New Orleans after Katrina. That one and several other flights had been paid for and chartered by Mr. Gore on American. There were maybe 30 people on the plane, and during the flight, Mr. Gore walked the cabin of the plane, talking and taking pictures with anyone who wanted to do any of that. He was just like one of us. When we got to New Orleans, he worked himself to a sweat, helping us, the few ground workers on the flight, carry water and other supplies up to the terminal building. I didn't see him after that as we got busy handling aircraft from every airline you can think of. And I'll toot the horn for American as well, because if it wasn't for American assembling the volunteers, there wouldn't have been anyone to work those planes that day. We were it. It was absolutely something I was proud to be a part of.

Cool. I'm sure Gore does some good here and there. But when you look at Clinton & Bush, they have put together incredible sums of money and that's not going to be Gore's legacy (it seems). I mention Gore among presidents because I think he had near that kind of power to be a statesmen. Far more so than other VP's.

No it's not false. The money is being sent and spent. Whether Bush, Clinton or berry did it is not the point. We need a billon dollar bridge (supposedly) here in Cincy for I -75 and they want to charge us tolls, yet we are paying $770 million for the Cairo sewer? Who is paying monthly taxes and fees for that. Not the Egyptians I'd bet. And why do I care about a Mosque in Greece and why would my money potentially be used for it's reconstruction? Sure is easy for some to give away others money.

Outreach is for losers. Appeasement never works and never will.

The U.S. government's "outreach" should be very limited at this point. The government is giving away money it does not have. Quite a bit of this "outreach" that goes to some of the poorest parts of the world ends up getting used for infrastructure projects that don't even benefit the poor in those areas.

SHEILA JACKSON LEE: US HAS BEEN OPERATING UNDER CONSTITUTION FOR 400 YEARS

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) either misspoke or showed her historical ignorance in a speech on the House floor when she declared that United States has been operating under our Constitution for 400 years.

And this is what happens when people only study their History for one month a year! :P

How the hell did Texas elect her?
