In layman's: There is more ice around Antarctica because the LAND ICE IS MELTING DUE TO CLIMATE CHANGE. Since land ice has no salt in it, it more easily freezes. Therefore, there is more FRESH WATER ice around Antarctica.

However, the bottom line is outsourcing IT is not the money saving gem companies thought it would be. I have been with several companies who tried it and they backed of it after finding no savings, harder to manage project, loss of an on site knowledge base, and general culture differences making it harder to work with.

I am no where near as afraid of outsourcing my job as I was 10yrs ago.

You refuse to accept the reality that the article that you posted explains the FRESH WATER ice at the south pole is caused by the MELTING of land locked FRESH WATER ice in glaciers. It in fact explained it in SEVERAL DIFFERENT WAYS.

Climate Change melts ice on land. The fresh water makes its way to the ocean where it freezes in the winter. There is more ice because it is FRESH WATER ice and freezes more readily than salt water. Then summer comes to the region and all of this ice melts and the cycle starts again.

The simple FACT is that the more fresh water ice there is at the south pole, the more evidence it is that climate change is happening.

My Opinion: America is in decline. Maybe it started before Obama, maybe not. All I know is Obama hasnt done and isnt going to do anything to stop the decline and make America a better place. Landlocked ice melts. This is fresh water. It finds its way to the ocean. The ocean is salt water. Salt water is more dense then fresh water. "More dense" means it weighs more. The fresh water weighs less and "floats". Fresh water freezes at a higher temperature. Therefore, since there is more fresh water entering the ocean around the south pole, the water is less dense, the freezing point is at a higher tempurature....the result is more sea ice around the south pole.
