I had the pleasure of watching a tribute band called "Departure" in Destin, FL last night.

Here's a quick summary:
- they played almost 2.5 hours without stopping
- covered Journey in the original key without stopping
- drummer was capable
- guitarist was capable but needs to learn the correct solos
- bassist was good
- keys guy was good and covered Rolie reasonably well
- The dude singing was a front man, owned the material with confidence
- Singer was PLAYING with the material and range, zero stress, owned it
- He hit every high note and went higher than Perry on many occasions (Perry recorded or Perry live)
- Singer's tonality was a bit piercing and lacked the Perry "Love" IMO (would be a good fit for Judaist Priest or Iron Maiden)
- Overall they we're great, put on a lively show, and covered the material with authority, WELL DONE
