Yes, the Free Beacon website funded the initial research but stopped in May of 2016. Tell the rest of the story.

Monker wrote:The 'concocted' dosier that talked about meetings with the Trump administration and Russians, like the Kushner/Jr. Trump Tower meeting.

Not a crime. Nixon colluded with South Vietnam. Reagan colluded with Iran.

Monker wrote:Now you are posting directives from Gorka, former Trump adviser and wanted criminal by foreign governments. Yeah, good person for you to follow there. Have to wonder if Mueller has interviewed him...seems like he should be in jail or deported to face his own crimes.

As far as I'm aware, there is a warrant for Gorka for an unspecified gun crime in Hungary. Please list the multiple foreign governments that are after him and the multiple crimes.

Monker wrote:You are posting wild and crazy accusations and your only "evidence" is a memo and a few extremely biased people, and a few biased Republicans...THAT is your evidence that you guys are predicting the end of the Democratic party and jail for Clinton and Obama, etc. NO COMMON SENSE.

And you have been posting bullshit with no evidence at all. "Hillary had permission" ring a bell?

That wasn't my point. A statement like that means nothing, literally nothing. I know "smart people" AND dumbasses who voted for Trump, and I know "smart people" AND dumbasses who voted for Clinton.

Such minutiae means nada. Zip. No nickels. Negative balance. You get my drift.

Not remotely similar. You are mentioning a presidential policy enacted by Trump. That's verifiable (or at least should be). My individual personal experience based on my friends is not documented anywhere. If coal miners are being screwed, prove it.

Point to where I said these people or yourself were liars. I asked you to share the details of what you heard or know about the subject. You felt it was important enough to post about it. Are the details surrounding it not important? Some people complain that there is no "discussion" in this thread. If true, here is a classic example as to why.

First of all, I said "say it ain't so." NOBODY countered.

I just typed "coal miners lose benefits" and "coal miners lose pensions" and the results I got were mostly articles reported by various papers last year (and the Mother Jones article K.C. Sunshine was referring to is actually from 2016, lol).

Now, if you guys want to continue imagining rainbows are forming in the wake of Le Don's step, that's your right. But based on what I heard today, things obviously aren't going the way they should be.

From last April: https://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2017/04/miners-pensions/523980/

There's your "discussion."

I don't have to imagine. We have business leaders like Apple's Tim Cook explicitly saying that in the wake of the Trump tax cut jobs are being created and wages are rising. My 401k has skyrocketed. But feel free to stick to third person anecdotes from people that don't exist.

If the pensions and healthcare were benefits that were offered by the coal companies then in my opinion it is not the responsibility of the federal government to back them up because the companies were or are going bankrupt.

The other question based on the article is what is Congress currently doing about it? Have they come up with something that Trump won't sign into law?

Also you still have not offered up what you personally heard about the matter from someone.

Yes, I did. The woman said they're getting screwed, i.e. Trump's not signing the bill to rescue the miners' pensions. Maybe he's procrastinating? Too many weekends at Mar-a-Lago, maybe? Too much "executive time" on the can?

LOL. I'm not asking you to "prove it" (as this article "advises)). I'm telling you that the "proof" you are posting is bullshit.

And, the memo itself was written by David Nunes! That's hillarious! The head of the House Intel committee who was briefed by the White House about incidental communication collection of Trump's. And, then goes public with it and then had to recuse himself from the committee. Nunes solely removed any credibility that the House intel committee was unbiased. THIS is the guy who wrote the memo that you are saying is going to cause the sky to fall? Come on, Chicken Little, this just doesn't hold up at all.

Apple has been critiqued for years for having too much of their company investments in China. It should not surprise ANYBODY that they are moving it to the US.

But, how much money have the TRUMP organizations been investing in their employees? If this TRUMP economy is doing so well and the tax breaks are so good, I would think the various companies with the TRUMP name would be investing in their employees.

As far as 401k, I remember when the market crashed in 2008...and McCain insisting that "the fundamentals of the economy are strong." I remember my 401k going from $100,000 down to $20,000. The company I was working for had their stock go from $35/share down to $7. Despite various speculation, I was confident the company was not going broke...if anything, it would be bought. So, I took %75 of what was left and put it in company stock, and the rest in safe bonds. By the end of 2009, I had made up all of my losses and I re-diversified because the company stock was around $30/share again. By 2014, I had tripled my money - without any contributions (I had left in late 2009). Who was President between 2009 - 2014?

The economy is continuing what Obama had already done. Like it or not, that is the truth.

In fact, IMO, it's in another bubble:

“Believe me: We’re in a bubble right now. And the only thing that looks good is the stock market — but if you raise interest rates even a little bit, that’s going to come crashing down. We are in a big, fat, ugly bubble. And we better be awfully careful.” Donald Jack-off Trump 9/2015

says the lying ahole that was preaching Trump/Russia for a year with NO PROOF, even now!

Paul Manafort, Michael Flynn, Rick Gates, George Papadopoulos

Hmmm, I wonder if they think it's just a bunch of lies?

And, now Bannon has to testify under subpena - so he can't have his testimony directed by the White House and claim executive privilege. If he lies, add him to the list above. If he reveals all, maybe add Kushner and Jr. to the list above.

It's easy to fantasize that there is nothing there, but you are still ignoring reality.

And, now there are dozens of stories out there that #releasethememo is being retweeted by Russian Bots. How does it feel to be working with the support of Russia, comrade?

No. That has nothing to do with it.

I am saying that if I were Andrew, I would not want to spend time and money moderating this place. That time and money would be better spent elsewhere. I also would not want my forum (it's not YOURS) to be used to spread alt-right propaganda...which is what is attempting to be done here....or any other political beliefs. So, yes, I would delete this thread for those reasons - if I were Andrew.

Further, *I* am at a point where I would say "fuck all of it". And, delete the entire forum section here and just use FB to communicate to a MUCH larger audience.
