Starbucks will provide paid sick time to its employees nationwide and give its 150,000 hourly and salaried U.S. workers another wage hike in April, just three months after its regular January pay increase, the company is announcing Wednesday.

“Everyone is getting a raise — the level they get depends on the region and the cost of living,” said spokesman Reggie Borges.

Many U.S. companies have announced bonuses or wage increases since Congress last month reduced the corporate income tax to 21 percent from 35 percent.

“For us the change in U.S. tax law has given us a chance to accelerate some of these long-term plans,” said Borges. “Historically we’ve always been a company that thinks of unique ways … to be appealing and attract the top talent.”

He DID lie. Due to the security nature of the devices used by POTUS, he had to have WH IT setup the devices to able to send and receive from the non .gov email accounts HRC was using.

It amazes me that people don't get that nothing is ever truly "deleted". The NSA keeps everything. While I can't fully confirm it, it has been said that months ago Sessions was given access to a huge amount of NSA raw data. Perhaps these "missing" FBI communications are in that data. Then we have the slow walk of releasing that HIC memo. A member of Congress could simply read it out loud on the House floor. Perhaps this slow walk is due to other actions that will be taken at the same time of the memo release to the public.

I think I figured out one of the reasons the left is up in arms about the new tax laws. We just saved 23 billion a year....by eliminating child tax credit and earned income tax credit for illegals. Good! They shouldn't be getting any taxpayer money. That's for citizens and those who are legally authorized to work here.

BTW, I'm sure this is company wide and not just at store level. I'm sure their are plenty of middle management people that have been with the company for 10+ years. I worked for a consumer electronics retailer and was with the company for 10+ years. Started out working on the sales floor and ended up in senior management.

You do know how these companies are structured right? They have many employees beyond those "in the stores".
Many of which have this kind of tenure and I'm not talking about just high level positions or executives. They are average middle class workers.

I knew immediately you were just trying to downplay the announced bonus money as “it’s not enough and not everyone will get that much.” The article snip I posted clearly said bonuses “up to” $1000. HD has 400,000 employees and yes a bunch are part time/short time positions but the fact remains most of those 400,000 are getting some real benefit from Trumps tax bill. As are Walmart, Aflac, Disney and various other employees of other companies.
