Monker you're obviously not capable of understanding the long term repercussions of globalization so there is no point in discussing it with you.
No, it is obvious that instead of answering the question you are avoiding the question by making the question about me. If you had an answer, you would have replied with the anwer. You don't know what you are talking about and are just repeating BS catchprases from the alt-right.
I don't know or care what issues you consider real but I know what is real to the people who elected President Trump and have every intention of electing him again.
Monker wrote:Of course that is your opinion. My point is that the FACTS do not support it. The FACT is that unemploytment was already below 5%. The FACT is the "deporter in chief" Obama was already deporting illegals. I am not denying that Trump voters "believe" that unemployment/jobs was an issue...since he repeatedly LIED about it, or that immigration was as big of an issue as he made it out to be...since he exagerated and blew it up into something it isn't. People are stupid and believe what the want, "eyes deceive, they believe in everything they want to see." Doesn't surprise me that is what you are doing.
NAFTA and all the trade globalizing trade agreements that followed took jobs: living wage incomes, health insurance, standard of living and general well being, away from many million American workers in order to help other countries improve the well being of their citizens. These millions of Americans had to work at minimum wage and/or other low paying jobs to feed and house their families. They lost respect for and faith in their government.
The welfare of the global economy has become more important to our government than our own economy and more aid is given to countries that have sworn to kill us than to the people who are barely getting by in this country. We start spending billions of dollars in money, infrastructure rebuilding and military aid to the middle east while our country is crumbling from the ground up. Nobody cares though because it doesn't show much from the financial and government centers. Nothing our government is doing seems to be for the welfare of the Citizens of this country. Illegal immigrants are allowed to cross our borders and stay living on government assistance that the people of this country can't get because they have anchor babies or because their parent brought them here as babies and it wasn't their fault. We start importing refugees from the countries and of the religion that wishes to kill us and give them financial assistance the our citizens can't get.
Our government may have the authority to govern us, for now, but it is was quickly becoming sovereignty in name only because being an American, a Citizen of the United States of American was losing it's meaning. We have people here who fly the flag of their home country rather than the country they have fled to. We have places in this country that won't fly the American Flag to avoid offending people of other nations. We have enclaves of people who live according to laws other than the laws of this country and are allowed to in order to keep from offending them their home countries.
Look what is happening in and to the EU and in England (who didn't get out soon enough). Do you pay attention to anything outside Des Moines?
These are the reasons that Donald Trump was elected. If he hadn't been I don't think being an American would have meant a damned thing for long. No country can survive when it's economy fails and the government turns it's back on it's own people.
I know that the unemployment figure was 4.9% in October of 2016. That means nothing to me. The unemployment numbers now mean nothing to me. Jobs, actual living wage jobs, are what I voted for. There is a huge difference between jobs that pay $7.50/hr. and jobs that pay $15+ an hour. There's a huge difference in the kind of jobs that were taken from us and the jobs that were created by the Obama administration. The jobs that were given away are coming back. Those jobs that Obama said weren't coming back.
Illegal immigration IS a huge problem in this country. I've personally heard every president since Bill Clinton say so. Obama's "deporter in chief" moniker was bullshit. It was all show and no action. Ask any border patrol agent. Ask any ICE agent. Ask any Law Enforcement officer who has called ICE after arresting an illegal as per policy and been told to turn them loose because nothing would be done about it. I worked in LE and KNOW this was happening.
