And, out of those two years of Neal talking up JTT, you're right, all they got was one mini tour. JTT was going nowhere and was dead by March...before all of this legal bullshit.
You weren’t even aware that JTT has recorded new music. You are not informed and should stop pretending.
Monker wrote:Neal filing to incorporate JTT is what started this. He couldn't get this band a real tour or an EP so he was going to invoke "Journey" to get them there, ie: the Journey name, logos, and imagery. That is why Nightmare filed to stop it.
JTT is NOTHING. Nobody gives a shit about a fake Journey band led by Neal Schon.
Nightmare opposed Neal trademarking the name “NEAL SCHON JOURNEY THROUGH TIME” back in 2019. Why? Ross’s lawsuit says it’s partially because Neal is synonymous with Journey. It’s a ridiculous legal argument actually. Nobody claimed that Neal was going to use the logos and imagery. You are either a liar or, again, just uninformed.
"On or about January 15, 2019 Cross-Defendant Neal Schon unilaterally filed with the United
States Patent and Trademark Office a proposed mark (Application Serial No. 88/250,911) consisting
of the words: “Neal Schon Journey Through Time”. [Ex. 6] On or about November 5, 2019 counsel
for Nightmare Productions, Inc. (Mr. Daniel J. Schacht of Donahue Fitzgerald LLP) received Notice
from the United States Patent and Trademark Office of the application by Neal Schon of the
Trademark application filed by Neal Schon. Upon information and belief, Mr. Schacht (after
receiving the aforementioned Notice) contacted shareholders of Nightmare Productions, Inc. and
later informed Neal Schon’s counsel that Nightmare Productions, Inc. would have to oppose Neal
Schon’s Trademark application and that Mr. Schacht, as counsel for Nightmare Productions, Inc."Monker wrote:Neal thinks he IS Journey and is acting like it. He's not, he never was, and never will be.
You seem confused. Cain and Schon fired the rhythm section. Not just Neal.
Monker wrote:I would support new JOURNEY music. But, a Schon/Cain band with Arnel singing is NOT Journey. That is even less "Journey" than ROR and Eclipse.
Cain/Schon wrote everything. Neal was laying down the bass on the demos anyway. In terms of songwriting, nothing has changed. In terms of live performance, Smitty was gone for most of the post-SP era anyway.
Monker wrote:Correct, I'm not a fan of JTT. To me, it was a side project brought forth by a jealous, power hungry, and egotistical person who can't handle the fact that he didn't control the band.
If you don’t support JTT, then you support playing only the dirty dozen, no new music, and fleecing the fans. With Smitty and Ross, Journey was clearly on life support. Good riddance.
