Circling From Above - (new Styx album)

Today is May 5th, 2025..... still no announcement or update......

It makes no sense to release the album until after the current tour. This is a GI tour....not a tour for a new album.

Saw Dream Theaters 40th Anniversary Tour twice. Once in Dallas in Feb and with my son at Radio City Music Hall in March. They had just released a new album when the N American leg of the tour started. In both shows they played 2 songs from the new album. This summer they will start their next tour in Europe playing their entire new album + other songs. If Styx does release Circling From Above in May or June I'm guessing they will play one or two of their new songs in their current festival Grand Illusion tour.

But..... with no singles released as of now if I were betting I'd bet the album isn't released until late June thru late August.

Not saying I know anything...but at this point, I would expect a couple of the new songs to be performed in the second half of the tour, singles to be released between tours, and full album released towards the start of a Fall tour. To me, that makes the most sense.

Also, I don't see an issue releasing an album during an anniversary tour. Journey did the same thing....but not playing the entire album.

Almost end of may and no album and a concept album about a bird. Tommy who hated concept albums, as bad 3 in a row (I am not sure of Crash). This just blows my mind, a bird!! What a concept! Maybe one will "bird dropping on my car" or "Flying for Roadkill", Killing Yourself (Dead bird on Road), Blue Eyed Bird (Long Feathers), "Too Much Shit on my Windows"

Apparently the new trend is that when a band or artist is about to announce or release something new they remove the current profile pictures from all their social media outlets and replace it with a blank image.

July 18th is the official release date. TalkShopLive has an autographed copy for $14 USD (limit 2 per household). But they only ship within the U.S.

They will be performing Build And Destroy during the tour and the album will be sold at shows on CD and vinyl starting tomorrow.
