Now, folks, she isn't "Susie." How do I know? Look at the way she spelled "realise." With a "s" not a "z." Susie is too fucking stupid to fake shit that well.
Enjoy Hell Susie.

That's not necessarily a giveaway. Over time, I have learned to spell words in their improper American form on American English forums, but revert back to my natural King's English spelling in other places. I still can't get rid of the "ou" no matter what I do. "Colour, favourite." And so on.
So he could be Susie.

I see how at the beginning of this thread, that you mentioned it being difficult to find teenagers who know who Journey are. How much do you ever hear about Deep Purple in England? I know that they were extremely popular in England in the 1970s and 1980s. Do you hear much about them in more recent years? How much do you hear talk of Led Zeppelin in England to this day, compared to Deep Purple? And do you consider yourself to know more about older rock bands from England than most people who are your age?

youkeepmewaiting wrote:What's actually a little bit crazy is how much bigger Journey are here now compared to (almost 20 years ago). Glee and The Soprano's moved Don't Stop Believin' into the Zeitgeist. You can't go to a Pop/Cheese/Wedding without hearing it now but it certainly wasn't like that back then. It was a rarity for it to pop up.
Deep Purple? Genuinely I'd say almost zero. Aside from Smoke On The Water (which you don't really hear very often either - I run a live rock covers music venue in Liverpool and it never gets played) you don't hear much from them at all. Zeppelin you hear about much more, that's definitely more ingrained.Journey/Survivor wrote:youkeepmewaiting wrote:and now I'm 37 - what the hell happened.
