But, yes I can see why band members DON'T want to read let alone post on their own forum! I wouldn't either. I sure don't think it is fair for them (the band) to be condemned for being human or making decisions that don't involve consulting the fans first.
They (the SA fans over there) argue about ethics but, come on, do they honestly believe that SA is the innocent lamb sent to the slaughter...where's HIS backbone to defend himself if he is blameless & they forced him to do the lipping? I admire Deen C. for standing up for himself and for JSS for doing the same because this tells me a lot more about their character than what SA is doing (I don't think in this particular case that staying mum is the same as "having class"). I just wonder why the SA fans aren't angry at SA for not saying anything...why couldn't he at least type "thanks for all your well wishes on my health"...makes me wonder.Anyway, I'm gonna be toast now!

Silverblue, I argued this same points about Augeri's silence over there for some time. The responses I got said that he shouldn't have to. He has too much class. He is humble, yadda, yadda, yadda. Anything that smacked of SA doing something wrong was pooh-poohed by them. They want to blame everything on Neal, Jon, etc. They are supposed to be the bad guys. And SA the good guy.
You won't be toast for this, trust me.
Here's a small,
over-looked point I just brought up in
a new thread I started over there...
"The general public has never heard of TapeGate or Dean. The general public doesn't really know alot about Jeff. The general public will not read Drew's interviews. And the general public could care less if the band's decision to replace Mr Augeri was an act of disloyality or showed a lack of integrity on their part.
But why does all this supposed 'lack of integrity' or 'disloyalty' surprise you?
It was this same mindset and decision-making that resulted in Mr Augeri becoming a member of this band. This is post-TBF all over again. Back then they made very unpopular decision and look what happened? The band continued, many new fansd came on board and we got to see Journey for 8 more years.
I know there are a few of you that will argue that you became fans because of Mr Augeri. But hey, us Perry fans (most of us) moved on and supported the Augeri era. Why are so many of so against moving on and supporting this new era?
Because the band was disloyal to a freind? But that disloyalty was just fine when your Mr Augeri got the gig in '98, right?"
Some people will never get it...
