My thoughts exactly!!! Jeff was singing Journey before he was even in Journey. I know this has been said, but the Journey "sound" has changed many times. The albums pre-SP, don't sound like the ones with him.... The albums with SP have a different feel to them.... The albums with SA have their own sound, too. It's all Journey! I, for one, am grateful that this crazy, wild, wonderful Journey we love will continue!

No pressure guys, but any release dates yet? LOL! Just kidding - it's early.

I hope Jeff ALWAYS posts. That's been his MO forever & the way he handles his fans. He does it well. I hope he is NEVER driven away from that. It's one of the things that made me love him. He is a fan of Journey. He is welcome on any Journey fan board IMHO.

This is no different than when SA joined the band. I'm not sure why these folks are expected to go through the entire "grieving" process in a day. That's ridiculous. There's been a lot more information over here than there has been at BT and people have had a much longer time to work through things here. For those who live in that "glass bubble" called BT, many were hanging onto the hope that SA would return and now he's out. That, for them, breeds anger and mistrust and they should be given a chance to let it out and get over it.

I think Jeff could have handled it a bit differently, or not responded at all, because in some ways, he stoked the fire, which is likely why he "bailed" on the conversation because he knew it wasn't going anywhere.

People need time. It's as simple as that...or maybe we can start more threads over here that you said you weren't going to tolerate, Andrew?

They should put up a general information site and let places like MR take the fans, and their "discussions".

But, yes I can see why band members DON'T want to read let alone post on their own forum! I wouldn't either. I sure don't think it is fair for them (the band) to be condemned for being human or making decisions that don't involve consulting the fans first. They (the SA fans over there) argue about ethics but, come on, do they honestly believe that SA is the innocent lamb sent to the slaughter...where's HIS backbone to defend himself if he is blameless & they forced him to do the lipping? I admire Deen C. for standing up for himself and for JSS for doing the same because this tells me a lot more about their character than what SA is doing (I don't think in this particular case that staying mum is the same as "having class"). Oh I can answer that. His personal business is his personal business. He does not need to reveal that to his fans. Any true fan of his would understand that. He is a class act & a wonderful humble human being. The best there ever was. He doesn't need to say anything. His fans don't need a message. They know he is grateful. They know him really well & know his character. They met him 3 times at M&Gs. He is spending well deserved time w/his family...

Silverblue, I argued this same points about Augeri's silence over there for some time. The responses I got said that he shouldn't have to. He has too much class. He is humble, yadda, yadda, yadda. Anything that smacked of SA doing something wrong was pooh-poohed by them. They want to blame everything on Neal, Jon, etc. They are supposed to be the bad guys. And SA the good guy.

a new thread I started over there...

And the general public could care less if the band's decision to replace Mr Augeri was an act of disloyality or showed a lack of integrity on their part.

It was this same mindset and decision-making that resulted in Mr Augeri becoming a member of this band. This is post-TBF all over again. Back then they made very unpopular decision and look what happened? The band continued, many new fansd came on board and we got to see Journey for 8 more years.

I know there are a few of you that will argue that you became fans because of Mr Augeri. But hey, us Perry fans (most of us) moved on and supported the Augeri era.
