For me tonight it will be copious white wine and getting immersed in the tv show Most Haunted.

Then tomorrow I will be hungover and have to do a guilt workout in the am

Well hell...Friday night means high school basketball.

A chili cheesedog and a sprite were my evening's delicasies (?sp).

But we won, so it was a GREAT chili cheesedog and sprite. :P

Congrats on the win Donna. I remember those kind of nights, but with me it was marching band competitions rather than ball games. :) Fun isn't it?

Thanks Sherrie!! My son Dakota was high scorer with 19 points. We struggled with our defense, but it was a sweet victory since they upset us last week with a buzzer 3-pointer. Tomorrow we have an AAU girls basketball tourney with my daughter (always fun, since it's 8, 9, & 10 year olds). :?

Oh, we do band and choral competitions too. We have a great time traveling up & down the east coast with the music department. 4 kids keep us hopping, and we LOVE it!!! :P

Yay!!! I'm not drinking alone!! Actually, it's Bacardi and Coke Zero...better in my opinion than Diet Coke. And, it is garnished with a cherry soaked in Hot Damn Cinnamon schnapps. Yum.

Hey drinkin' buddy!! :D I don't care for Coke Zero but the effect of the drink is the same. I haven't tried the soaked cherry, but maybe I should.

Oh, you MUST try the soaked maraschino cherry. Mine have been soaking for over a year in the schnapps.......adds a little zing to the drink, if you know what I mean!!

Great job by your son!! :D Neither of my girls were into sports. The band competitions were great though. I got so into it that I almost had withdrawl symtoms when my last one graduated. I did get into the football games when we went to watch the halftime performances though. I just had a hard time seeing those kids getting knocked down and sometimes hurt. I don't think I could have taken it if I'd had a boy out there playing.

Well, gotta do that too since Dakota is the Quarterback for the football team too!!! He'll likely be the starting QB for the varsity team next year as a sophomore. It's scary, but it's what he wants to do. I'm told he has a really good chance at playing FB at the college level. As a matter of fact, his QB coach lives in Roanoke, and we'll be making a visit down to see him probably next month. Maybe we can meet up somewhere. :)

Ah the joys of having athletic kids. My son is not in high school (or even jr high) yet but he plays on two bball leagues so we have two games on Satudays. As soon as basketball is over, we start baseball, regular season, all star and throw in a travel team or two. As soon as basketball is over, football starts, as soon as football is over, basketball starts. My 15 year old daughter plays volleyball, basketball and runs track. The two little girls are gymnasts and they will probably start with the competitions next year....there's never a day that we don't have a practice or a game.

Hey I'd love it but Roanoke is an hour from me and I'm not very familiar with it so it would have to be pretty well planned. I know a few places pretty well, so we'll try to coordinate something.
