What do we think??
I go back and forth with this, right now, know, at least in the US, Being with Kayne West and Kelly Clarkson, just seems so out of place---however, if another US venue comes into play, in the west coast, why not.

Remember the saying, we can't miss them, if they don't go away.
whocares wrote:Where was Journey for Live Aid in 1985? Taking time off from being out on the road. It should be no different now. The boys aren't obligated to be a part of what you want them to be a part of. How many times have you seen them live? How many times did you hear the same song over and over again without giving them a chance to slightly fade form yoru memory, so you could enjoy them as much or more the next time you saw them live? And don't give some bullshit answer like Journey is the best rock band and their music is the only thing that allows me to go on in life.
LET THEM FUCKING TAKE A BREAK!
WalrusOct9 wrote:Right. With all the artists on this bill, Journey wouldn't have more than 4 or 5 songs, tops (probably 3, in reality). It wouldn't be hard for them to show up and play DSB, Separate Ways, and LTS, songs they've done thousands of times.
I think it's a good thing they're taking a break from touring, but that doesn't prohibit one-off shows like this that could really help out the band and gain their new line-up some exposure. One 20-30 minute set is not a tour.
RockinDeano wrote:What you don't understand Lights(Rick), and I am on your side of thinking here(wanting more shows) is the money factor. Journey won't keep their road crew on retainer for a bunch of months with no shows scheduled. They need their crew to put on any shows. The VA show is special, hence the crew being kept around.
RockinDeano wrote:Rick, that's not my logic, that's Journey Philosophy and S.O.P.
lights1961 wrote:*who cares*your opinion is okay with me, as is Deanos logic. This is only for a one time event, not start a tour for 2007---EVEN I DONT WANT THAT!!![]()
I just think for WORLD WIDE EXPOSURE, I would like to think---this might actually be worth something in a return on investment for 2008, especially if they could premiere a brand new tune.

We've been recording temperatures for what...200 years. The planet has been around for several hundred MILLION? To think that a mere 2 degree spike in the temperature over the next several hundred years is going to make a difference is silly. All the bands playing this "event" are sissy loving, tree huggers. Please do not play in this moronic event that makes Al Gore think he is still relevant. It's April in Chicago and 35 degrees. Where's global warming when you NEED it?
