I hope your daughter is doing much better! That certainly is some scary stuff! I've been fortunate that I've only had to take my daughter to the ER once in 8 years. Her pediatrician's office is very good about returning those late night/early morning calls. She's had a couple of suspected injuries, and they told me to bring her in to the office rather than going to the ER (during regular office hours).
On a related note, is there any pattern to when your daughter gets these symptoms? My daughter started getting "colds" in the spring and fall right from birth, and she wasn't in daycare. I was told by the ped that she was too young to have allergies. Guess what! She has allergies! Every April/May and September/October without fail, the girl has severe allergy symptoms. It never fails that I get a call from the school nurse because of it.
