OT - Great Southern Land bands

Not a band, but let's not forget Jimmy Barnes, especially since he had some help from Friga and 'Fro.

I couldn't find a good version of him doing "Too Much Ain't Enough Love," with a solo by 'Fro. I love this guy's voice.

Perth and Adelaide were full of grunge bands in the 80s and 90s. Quite a few were very influential on the 'Seattle Sound'. Just not a hell of a lot of clips I can post for them, unfortunately

Extremely good band, two good singers, killer guitarist in Ian Moss, and lyrically far superior to many out there. Also extremely versatile as far as the songs played (reaggae, blues, pop, rock), and at one time, probably one of the best live bands on the planet. Unfortunately, I think they are best known for the pop stuff (ie Cheap Wine), which really does an injustice to their sound if taken alone. Too bad they self-destructed. A whole bunch of solo careers with varying forms of success though--Barnes and Moss doing the best.

For the uninformed, despite the pop nature of that album, Ian Moss was always more of a blues guitarist than pop, and subsequent albums went more towards the blues hard rock. You can hear the guitar riff in places on the studio cut, but it makes the song considerably less pop brought to the front here.
