I'll try, but I'm not too optimistic about enjoying it!

This coming from a guy with a photoshopped picture in his avatar!

My source was an unconventional one that could *not* have been connected to JSS in any way, this or any message board *OR* my old, usual sources (which I dare say, had all but dried up by 2005/6)
I'm sure there were more than a few groups of people close to the band that knew about it. Sounds like the people that told you were able to keep it "in house," as were you. Congrats. But I know of someone that was talking about it behind the scenes and the person they attributed it to was the same one that they got weeks of other credible Journey information from. And just like everything else, it always found its way around the mill.

I'm not trying "to pin" anything on anyone. Just pointing out that things could have been handled
much better. There was a time post-Augeri when the band couldn't go to dinner without people knowing. Everything from pre-show set lists to post-show dinners was there for public consumption. And this has nothing to do with Augeri. In fact, Steve Augeri is the one guy that
did handle everything perfectly (sans his 1/5 of the band's Tapegate blame) and never let band information out. Not ever.
