PS- as to Bryan and the Boys being the opening act? be careful for what you wish for. I would reverse them or at least alternate.

I wouldn't mind that. BA is a good guy and I like him on record but he did get a little bit old after about 7 songs when I saw him on the Lepp/BA tour.

I'd actually love to see Jimi Jamison with a great band (ideally the recording band on Crossroads Moment incl. Peterik) open.

Greg Kihn, George Thorogood or the Tubes. They've all opened for Journey before or in Thorogood's case, with Journey and Foreigner on the Stones tour.

My choices would be (In this order)...Foreigner, Jimi Jamison/Jim Peterik, and Toto. Obviously Toto's out of the question, so I'd take the other two with open arms (no pun intended!). I'd also LOVE to see Bad English/Journey tour if only just once too! I know it'd be a drain on John/Neal, even though they don't sing anything live...

Journey: had sold an estimated 75 million albums world wide (45 million in the states alone)

Now, if they ever put Bryan Adams on the bill, I might actually go for the reason of the show and not just because 15 of you are getting together to drink (which last time was the big draw for me... LOL). But I'm not holding my breath for Journey/BA.

LOL. You have seen BA and you think Pineda is a better frontman? Okay bro. You're entitled to your own opinion no matter how wrong it is. If I were a Journey fan, this pairing would trouble me. Neal will be challenged big time with Keith Scott, and the songs in general will challenge Journey's. Just wait and watch. Don't say I didn't call this right here and right now.

And another thing, with BA, you will hear new stuff, old stuff and forgotten stuff, and with Journey, well, just copy and paste the last 8 years tours..they're all the same anyway.

I just don't see this paring as BA does fairly well on his own and puts on a much more entertaining show. I like both acts, but I don't think it'd be close live. Journey would regret having BA on first.

I dont think they're around anymore...but fuck me in the ass with a rusty chainsaw, Silvertide completely kicked Journey's ass from here to Guam. Silvertide was a hard rocking black crowes like band...raw, energetic, in your face.

The contrast between Journey and Silvertide was too much for Journey to handle in my opinion...you have this acdc/black crowes- bombastic band come out and just fucking rule...then journey comes out, all glossy and lipped up.....it made Journey look fake. It's like walking into a skanky room and watching two girls go at it...and you get to see and smell all of it, from a few feet away. Then you're led away into a nice, perfectly manicured room where you're shown a soft porn video of a man screwing a boring, uninterested woman under the covers thats safe enough to be shown on late night network tv.

Personally, I think BA would offer this same contrast, but not as rank. You've got a raw band that plays with 100% feel...and then you've got Journey, with 3/4 of the music pre-recorded and the other half locked into a click. It doesn't work. Journey needs to find an opening act that's, dare I say, as processed (er....translation, fake) as they are.

I saw him open for Journey on FRONTIERS (damn good) and saw him headline the INTO THE FIRE tour (Awesome!). Very meat and potatoes, straight forward jammin. However (sorry Deano) I think he lost his mojo sometime around that "Have you ever really loved a woman" crap.

I haven't witnessed Adams in concert since the mid-80's, but if his current tour plays alot of that mellow garbage on his newest CD, I'll be in the parking lot chugging a Sam Adams longer than normal. Now, if it's stacked with ditties from Cut's Like a Knife or Reckless I'll be there.

Isn't this still a bit of guesswork suggesting Adams? Let's throw in Benatar for a triple bill...Adams opens, then Pat followed by Journey.

Dude, on the Main Event Tour, Journey closed every show and was definitely the worst of the three bands. Most agree with that. I was in denial but the truth is the thruth. REO was superb and Styx blew their doors off.

Amen! I took a few people and I had front row center seats...AWESOME show, but Journey sucked ass that night with ZERO energy or personality. They were definitely on cruise-control. I was blown away by Styx and REO though (except for Kevin Cronin's boring ass rants about everything!). VERY cool night, and probably my favorite concert ever.
