I don't see it. I asked Schon about this and he said BA wouldn't do it without Perry, for whatever reason.
You're both high. Not in the U.S., guys. No way. Adams can't outdraw Journey in the U.S.Vladan wrote:Rockindeano wrote:Saint John wrote:I'm hearing that Bryan Adams is probably their opening act. If so, this is an outstanding choice and I can't wait to see him/them. Thoughts? Dean?![]()

totally understandable. I see Journey being the opening for BA as well.

Why not just tour alone, play more tunes?
That would rock, Rick. I'm sure we'd all want that, but I think it's doubtful. Would be cool to see Greg back in any capacity.lights1961 wrote:i am for a tour like 2002 an evening with Journey..smaller places... intimate settings...
maybe a nice twist with Rolie as special guest...

Maybe that's why BA won't happen. They would show Journey up.

Not a chance in the world. And I like BA/have seen him live.

The contrast between Journey and Silvertide was too much for Journey to handle in my opinion...you have this acdc/black crowes- bombastic band come out and just fucking rule...then journey comes out, all glossy and lipped up.....it made Journey look fake. You know, that's happened before...back on the dead13 tour, they had a band called Silvertide open up. I dont think they're around anymore...but fuck me in the ass with a rusty chainsaw, Silvertide completely kicked Journey's ass from here to Guam. Silvertide was a hard rocking black crowes like band...raw, energetic, in your face.

Personally, I think BA would offer this same contrast, but not as rank. You've got a raw band that plays with 100% feel...and then you've got Journey, with 3/4 of the music pre-recorded and the other half locked into a click. It doesn't work. Journey needs to find an opening act that's, dare I say, as processed (er....translation, fake) as they are.

Dude, on the Main Event Tour, Journey closed every show and was definitely the worst of the three bands. Most agree with that. I was in denial but the truth is the thruth. REO was superb and Styx blew their doors off.
