It was an early morning show, gotta be hard to sing that early. Does anyone know what time of year this was recorded? Winter, Summer? Cold weather could make it harder to sing.
Yes, DSB was bad vocally, but even on the clips that Andrew posted from San Bernadino JSS hits a few flat notes on DSB and IBAWY. It's live and not supposed to sound exactly like the CD. I do agree with another poster that this made me feel sorry for SA too. I just like the guy and he does have a good voice if he stays in his vocal range.
Neil and Ross look much better with shorter hair.
Also, the host of the show. Mark McEwen (also the host of A&E's "Live by Request"), left CBS and went to Orlando's local CBS affiliate as a morning/afternoon anchor. He recently had a near-fatal stroke - here is the story:

*Edited to point out that the crowd seemed to be really enjoying the performance.

Are you sure? JSS hitting flat notes? I can't believe that, I thought he was the son of Steve Perry according to most of the posters on here. Am sure this thread will be closed to stop such an unaccurate admission. The fact that he can't do justice to escape is neither here or nor there ....
