Those were the Against the Wall sessions, right? I think Perry said all the ATW songs were now released. But I don't think Nuno is on anything so maybe I am totally screwed up on this...

I don't think that's out yet j28. Keep in mind we've been told all previous stuff was already out from the earlier days and then all of a sudden, out comes more.

HE'S REJOINING JOURNEY!!!! I KNEW IT, I KNEW IT!!!

;) (TOTALLY kidding there, he'll never go back to Journey)

Probably just going to say the same stuff...
"I think about touring and recording a lot"
"I really was toast"
"I've got these reissues to tell you about..."

Love the guy, but sick of hearing the same stuff from him.
It's like when McCartney is constantly asked how he wrote "Yesterday". Same ol' stories. Next Perry'll be on Leno with Joan Rivers talking about the good ol' days. He'll do a number with Steve and Edie.

Come on dude! Do something N E W !!!

Going back to Journey is a "NO DEAL SITUATION"... leno? No... Oprah?... Stay Tuned... It's being talked about behind closed doors... I think everyone needs to think before they post, especially in upcoming weeks... you never know who is reading !!!

...I think this is correct...

And, Nuno seemed pretty PO'd that they were not on the album. There were some radio interviews around the time of "III Sides to Every Story" where he pretty much shrugs off the songs and the entire scenerio of working with Perry.

I will be awaiting this interview w/baited breath. It'll be so nice to hear from our Stevie again. I hope he does more interviews after this too. He looks so good & happy these days. How wonderful it would be to hear his incredible voice again. His lyrics go straight to my heart & oh, his voice, his voice.

Strange because in the interviews I heard with Perry, it was like they were as close as brothers. Portuguese twins or something... That's WAY too bad.

Speaking of FTLOSM- I finally heard that hour long writing session for Missing You. Jesus, anybody got any more stuff like that? I found it really cool to listen to. Interesting how quiet Perry sang those notes. He's not belting out at any point. That guy was a master. And though he cracks once or twice, it was clear that he still had it together vocally. Very interesting to me as a singer.

And on the avataar, if it offends, I really don't care. It was meant to be funny folks. Relax... Thanks to those that got some enjoyment out of it.

YES. When I heard it, I'm just going "god, he sings SO quietly, yet hits those friggin' notes. HOW is that possible???"

Distant Voice wrote:

You know what, you can't say ANYTHING here without offending somebody. The stuff I post is pretty friggin' harmless especially compared to some others here. I don't go out of my way to piss people off and I actually try to be pretty cool about stuff. To be honest, I don't care WHO'S reading. I've never said Perry is anything but brilliant except that he baked his voice. He knows it. We know it. I'm hoping that after all these years, he's managed to get his chords back into shape and I hope the guy does something ... MAGICAL. Perry was the best singer to walk the planet. Ever.

The comment was made in reference to the fact that if he doesn't do something new, he's going to be in the cut out bin with friggin' Tommy Tutone and Soft Cell and be like one of those people that come out every few years to promote some rehash of old stuff, like Mike Love does all the time. That's what the Leno comment was about. I didn't say anything about Opie although Bon Jovi was on there, McCartney was on there, etc.

Like I said, I'd love to see him do something new that blows everybody away.
I guess I could've talked about Perry's former addictions and how he was rude to little kids as other people have, but I used a bit of humour to say "Come on dude, do something new, we're waiting and we're tired of hearing the same old stories and excuses and tracks".

By the way, if "people" are reading, then be sure to get this line:

If he comes back and records and then vanishes again leaving the group hanging, I will never support him again.

All I have to say to this is that Steve Perry will ALWAYS have my support, regardless of whatever he chooses to do in his life. He doesn't have to sing, he doesn't have to make new music for me, or tour, or do anything special, in order for me to keep being his fan. It's his choice, I'll still remain a fan forever for ALL things he has already done and given to me, as a fan :D

Now don't get me wrong, I would LOVE for him to sing, and make new music. I would buy it up in a heart beat, but from my point of view, I would rather it be HIS CHOICE that he sang because HE WANTED TO SING, He WANTED To make new music, NOT for the reason of some "pushy, demanding kind of fan" that says , if you don't keep giving me what I want, when I want it, then I'm out of here. I don't think ANY singer or celebrity would want that kind of fan, that is just my opinion anyway.

I'm just HAPPY he is doing another interview, so that we fans get to hear from him again! :D :D

I think I would be more pissed at JOURNEY for making the dumbass decision to take him back if that happened. You know what they say... fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me... I could expect that behavior from him but you would think they would learn from it.

Now that I've had my face in his hair, he doesn't have to do anything for me ever again either. j/k :D Seriously though, I would like Journey to continue on exactly how they are right now.....I think JSS (and Deen) give it that energy it needs full-time now. Also love to hear/see more solo work from Steve P......let that voice shine on its own. :D
