YES. When I heard it, I'm just going "god, he sings SO quietly, yet hits those friggin' notes. HOW is that possible???"

Going back to Journey is a "NO DEAL SITUATION"... leno? No... Oprah?... Stay Tuned... It's being talked about behind closed doors... I think everyone needs to think before they post, especially in upcoming weeks... you never know who is reading !!!
You know what, you can't say ANYTHING here without offending somebody. The stuff I post is pretty friggin' harmless especially compared to some others here. I don't go out of my way to piss people off and I actually try to be pretty cool about stuff. To be honest, I don't care WHO'S reading. I've never said Perry is anything but brilliant except that he baked his voice. He knows it. We know it. I'm hoping that after all these years, he's managed to get his chords back into shape and I hope the guy does something ... MAGICAL. Perry was the best singer to walk the planet. Ever.
The comment was made in reference to the fact that if he doesn't do something new, he's going to be in the cut out bin with friggin' Tommy Tutone and Soft Cell and be like one of those people that come out every few years to promote some rehash of old stuff, like Mike Love does all the time. That's what the Leno comment was about. I didn't say anything about Opie although Bon Jovi was on there, McCartney was on there, etc.
Like I said, I'd love to see him do something new that blows everybody away.
I guess I could've talked about Perry's former addictions and how he was rude to little kids as other people have, but I used a bit of humour to say "Come on dude, do something new, we're waiting and we're tired of hearing the same old stories and excuses and tracks".
By the way, if "people" are reading, then be sure to get this line:
If he comes back and records and then vanishes again leaving the group hanging, I will never support him again.
