What would you all say if SP put out a 5 disc CD and sold 100,000 copies? It would be platinum, yes? You would all freak the fuck out.

SP's 5-disc CD:
One disc of Motown covers
One disc of Blues covers
One disc of adult contemporary covers
One disc of minimalistic industrial beats and samples from German indie movies
One disc of duets with female country singers, from Dolly to Carrie

The title?
"Steve Perry: The Unreleased Classics"
or
"Greatest Hits + 60 Unreleased"
or
"ALL YOUR CASH ARE BELONG TO ME"

Not that he needs the money but he need never put out any new work again when he continuously gets paid for his past achievements (and rightfully so).

No. Dude you do the math. 2 discs for 500K = platinum. I would assume 3 discs at 333K, 250K for 4 discs and for a 5 disc set, it would equate to 100K. That may be totally wrong, but following the mathematic formula the 500K equals platinum 1,000,000/500K, I would be proven correct. Now feel free to kiss my asshole.

100,000X5 discs =500,000...which is Gold!!!Rockindeano wrote:Saint John wrote:It would be Gold, Einstein.Rockindeano wrote:What would you all say if SP put out a 5 disc CD and sold 100,000 copies? It would be platinum, yes? You would all freak the fuck out.Platinum is for a million.

Faith In The Heartland was a generations retread (and a regression from the original)
What It Takes to Win has some of the worst fucking lyrics since I last had the stomach to listen to an Elton John record.
The Journey is crap and if I had to guess, is a Neal Schon solo record reject.
And some will argue that parts of Never Walk Away was stolen from JSS's Believe in Me. I'm not putting a dog into that fight, as I respect Jeremey and recognize that his contributions to the song were done without such consideration of the JSS track.
Even without the arguement on Never Walk Away, that's 4 songs out of 11 are rejects or shite...

Dean, you said if they sold 100,000 copies, it'd be platinum because they would each have 5 discs. That equals 500,000 total disks, which makes it GOLD. Platinum would require 1,000,000 disks to be sold which is double what you said. Are we clear soldier???

I completely mistyped cocksucker. I meant 200K. That is on me. But what I thought Dan was saying was separate sales. Again, you caught me. It won't happen again.

It was only corny to us. None of the casual fans had heard it because nobody bought Generations. It was included in the concert ticket prices and was distributed to the concert goers, but how many people is that?
It's a great song that deserves to be heard, and that would have never happened leaving it on Generations. My opinion anyway.

They said on Rockline it was the producer's idea. The song isn't the best one on Generations- I skip it every time on the new album.

And how do you know this song was originally written for Arrival?
