Blues of a different flavor - another of my favorite Canuck bands. These guys are amazing live.

I used to go hear this cat play at Blind Willie's in Atlanta. Great little place to go hear good authentic blues. This guy's the real deal ( nice guy too ).

I love the blues too. Hey...lets keep this thing going..it doesn't have to be limited to just the top picks...feel free to post whatever blues songs you dig. I'm hoping maybe someone will post someone or a song I haven't heard before..like J28 mentioning Colin James. I had heard a couple of his but was not very familiar with him so I enjoyed listening to more of his stuff on youtube today and plan on picking up some of his music now. (thanks J28)
Anyway..thanks for the contribution to the thread..great stuff! :)

Here is something by a guy folks in the Chicagoland and SE Wisconsin area might be familiar with. His name is Corky Siegel and he's and excellent blues harp player. I first heard him back in the 70's when he played with the Siegel-Schwall Blues Band. Couldn't find any video of the band, but here's one of him playing one of his old songs.

This guy just gets me every time - Chris Cain.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-Ve1TLyyr4

For those of you in the Bay Area, he plays JJs Blues on Stevens Creek Blvd every now and again. I saw him open for BB King at a tiny club near Saratoga Ave & Kiely back in the late 80's and was blown away. He was just a young guy back then - as was I :-P Sadly, we haven't seen any new music from him in the last 5 years...
