But Arnel can "give so much of himself to us" NOW and it's okay to bash him? Glad I have the rules.
When was the last time someone said they hope Arnel fails? When was the last time Arnel was called a douchebag?
Be fair dude, Arnel bashing is pretty much in the past. If you're talking about Neal and Jon, that's one thing, but, with the exception of a few posters, Arnel has been off limits for some time now in this forum.
Just to clarify, this has nothing to do with the thread we are talking about, I thought like others it wasn't over the line and was all in good fun.
Hey GB- Well, I think it's a double standard. I didn't see the thread as it was yanked. My comment was more to the quoted comment above which I see a lot of, mostly from women and one who I can't seem to determine what they are. The guy was in the limelight and is not immune to attacks whether warranted or not. That's part of the celeb game. It sounds like this Perry thing was just in jest and Andrew pulled it. oh well, another of the same type of thread will start in like 2 minutes...
But with AP, SO many threads are started JUST to make sure that Perry's version or contribution or looks or whatever... are put above Arnel's. Gee, no shit. Perry was the originator. We know and everybody here respects Perry. Doesn't mean that some of us can't move on and enjoy what's happening with Journey now. But every time there's a positive post on new Journey, some Perry or Augi or JSS person comes in and whizzez all over it. EVERY post (no matter how off the topic) become an excuse for some to go "well, he's no steve perry" or whatever. I've seen several of the same kinds of posts lamenting the fact that every post becomes a singer challenge post. It's making the forum suck. Your statement of "AP's kind of off lmits" [paraphrasing]- I don't see that at all.
Not sure why everyone feels the need to constantly defend Perry at all costs. He's got nothing more to prove.
