HA! I've been saying this since the pilot. It's garbage.
I will say it again:
A show ABOUT SINGERS should not be using so much pitch correction software. You watch, now that Cowell's gone, American Idol will start using it.
Its bloody horrible, Bry. Horrible.
I watched a few Episodes of the show because everyone was making such a fuss about it, but I couldn't stand it.
If they can sing they don't need that effect on their voices.
It was doing my bloody head in, so I stopped watching. Every week was the same story anyway.
We've still got Cowell over here.
Britain's Got Talent just finished.
I wish he'd just retire and go and enjoy his money and his black toilet tissue.
The kids who won weren't singers and were very good at what they do, but most of the Acts he put through make me question his ability to choose real talent.
And that effect wasn't used on any of the contestants who were singing, but it was used by the 'band' [and I use the term 'band' loosely] JLS when they performed while the votes were counted.
JLS competed in last year's X Factor - which is a BIT like American Idol - they didn't win but they have been given a record deal, - and every week they sang all over the place. Way out of tune and it was awful to behold, but..............Cowell signed them, employed that horrible autotune and suddenly they can sing in tune.
BUT they sound like robots.
What a load of bollocks.
