I mean we can scour the net for some undetectable back up vocals so and so did on some song years ago or the latest Air Supply cover by Pineda but that's not really as fun as theorizing and prophesizing about the band and it's members.

I have seen covers in concerts and they don't bother me....and if you are going to cover someone the king of rock n roll is as
good as anyone.

There was always someone who was a bit bigger during the 80's, be it REO Hi Infidelity in '81, Springsteen and Born in the USA in '84, Bon Jovi's Slippery When Wet in '85 or Def Lippard with whatever the Hell they had going. Not putting your guys down Daniel, but they were never quite Kings...but they were close.

Then he toured without Journey ... cracking the stone ... but said to Journey in 1998 "Don't tour as Journey and crack the stone." I guess he meant because he already did.

Ohhhhh, how I hate the line about Perry cracking the stone first, I seem to recall that J & N went out and got another band called Bad English, with 3/5 of the current lineup of Journey. SS was out doing his thing with his own band and other groups and let's not forget that he along with RV, GR went out got a sound Perry sound alike in KC for a band called The Storm (3/5 again).

All in all Perry did not crack the stone by going out and making a solo album followed by a solo tour. He did not crack the stone that was "Journey" plain and simple. The "Journey" stone that was cracked was when Perry was forced out and by accounts from JC and NS, Perry could have made it a living hell for them to go out and tour/record with the Journey name. Perry did get some concessions as any good business person would do, you know that you would too. Seriously let's get off of the whole Perry cracked the stone first crap and look at the facts.

Except for two people in the band pre-1986 (RV & SS) I've heard some horror stories about all of the rest as far as being butt wipes.
