With Augeri getting better...

I'm sure it's a catch-22 for the band. While they would probably love to do a VH1 part two to commemorate their success since Arnel's inclusion into the group, they can't just gloss over the decade prior as if it had never existed.
Unfortunately, Nomota has done just that at a lot of their media appearances letting the myth proliferate that Arnel's membership with Journey is a linear continuation of the band after Perry's tenure had concluded.

Nice idea, but no way would this ever happen. I am sure there are some things that Augeri wishes people knew, but with all that transpired around his departure, I doubt he even wants to shed a lot of light on that, regardless to rationale or circumstances. While I am sure there are still some hurt feelings, from his comments and meeting him a couple times post-Journey, Steve always talks with respect toward the band and is very gracious about everything. Jeff on the other hand might be a different story because of what all happened there. The bottom line is part 2 to this BTM doesn't make anyone look particularly good. At least from a band perspective, the first one at showed the band in a good state, moving on with Augeri, and continuing to play music.

LOL, true that. I'm sure it irks them enough having their dirty laundry aired here, let alone on public tv. :lol:

But it sure would make for one interesting BTM! Let's see.......who could they approach for comments?? SA, JSS, Deano, SP, Lora, Cyndy, etc. Directors cut indeed! :lol:

Herbie won me over years ago as far as persuading me that he was the guiding intellect behind the band's success.
Neal might be a technical virtuoso, Jon might be an immensely talented musician, Perry might once have been one of rock's finest singers, and Ross might be a bassist, but the idea of these guys having ever trudged it out on their own without Herbie is truly terrifying. :lol:

Billy Sheehan sure has great things to say about him to this day too......

Ryan: In our past conversations I've never asked you about Herbie Herbert who I know was the bands first manager and is of course famous for managing Santana and Journey. How did you hook up with him initially, was he managing Eric at the time?

Billy: He was involved with Eric, not officially managing him, but he was kind of taking care of him. I went up and had a meeting with Eric and Herbie and proposed the band. I told them about Paul Gilbert and that I had a drummer named Pat. Herbie liked the idea and said he'd be happy to manage it, so that's how it started. Herbie has my eternal respect and gratitude for what he did for Mr. Big. The success of the band is for the most part due to Herbie Herbert. He was one of the founding fathers in the music business in many ways and iconic in so many ways. If no one knew about managers they knew about Herbie. I have such a great respect for him and like I said I'm eternally grateful for what he did for Mr. Big.

Say what ya will about HH, he knew a great singer when he heard one, I gotta appreciate the fact he introduced 2 of my all-time favorite vocalists!
