Oooh what makes you say that?
Les wrote:I sure as hell wouldn't invite Deano backstage... but then he's helped JSS's career so I can see why he's doing it.
Les wrote:You think the band getting rid of Steve sooner than planned hasn't helped JSS's career?
Deano's helped JSS's career in the sense that it was him that made them get rid of Steve sooner...

I can't remember which thread it's in but if you use the search function to look for postings by JSS you'll see where he told Deano he'd like to meet him and that he'd get him backstage.
Les wrote:Sheesh. I wasn't saying inviting folk backstage was helping anyone's career.
Read it again. I'm saying that I can see why JSS is inviting Deano backstage because Deano has helped his career. I also didn't mention it being a conspiracy... but I might be a nut anyway

JSS can kiss my ass, he was waiting in the wings for the signal that Augeri was out. And now he invites Dean backstage and rewards him. Everyone's guilty.
They probably planned this all when SS broke up. I would not be surprised.

Not sure what the lead singer of Boston, his name is Brad Delp by the way, has to do with anything. I saw him in concert hell yeah he is getting old, I mean nobody is getting younger, he needs some help hitting the high notes and he doesn't hide that from anyone. Delp is far from a washed up lead singer, Augeri might not be coming back to Journey but I hope he can do his own stuff.

A Fire Inside wrote:Dear Neal and JSS,
Please explain to me why anyone should support your sad asses after you (Neal) made Augeri mime to audio that everyone and their mother had. Instead of handling the situation maturely and maybe getting him out of there early, it became a fucking circus. NOW you (Jeff) pass out meet and greets like candy to people who hated the band three months ago, not the ones who liked it for years.
I'd like to hear exactly how Steve Augeri is such a bastard that he deserves to be shamed in front of thousands, saddled with ALL the blame for this "Tapegate", and sent home while those who like him are flailing blindly for a justification that never shows up. Please tell me why he deserved this, because from all accounts, he was a pretty nice guy.
If this is a band that sucks dedicated singers dry every 8 years and fires them silently, I don't know what to say. Just pathetic.
Fuck both of you.
Lula wrote:Come on AFI. You hold Neal and JSS responsible for 'tapegate'.... for real? If I try real hard I might be able to see your logic with blaming Neal, but Jeff??
There would not be a tour if it weren't for Jeff.
A Fire Inside wrote:I can't blame Jeff for Tapegate, notice I directed that statement to Neal. My anger at Jeff stems from his offer to make buddies with Dean.
Some would have preferred it that way... I wonder how many refunds ILAA has given...

I don't claim to speak for Jeff but I don't think he's trying to be buddies with Dean. Friendly? Yes. Perhaps he and the guys in the band just want to talk to him? Who knows. Some would have preferred it that way... I wonder how many refunds ILAA has given...
Judging from the attendance figures at the shows, I wouldn't think it's very many.

I'll bet that Soto has already lost a lot of fans from his previous work who see his latest effort with Journey as trying to take a shortcut to fame and leaving your soul behind.

and then oh-so-conveniently picking up JSS while talking about how he's so great in the band, yadda yadda.
What the hell did Steve A do to them?

You're certifiable - an apeshit moonbat nutjob of the first order.
