A terrible "joke" if so. You can have opinions, but Arrival's success was nothing to sneeze at... especially when compared to Journey's first three albums... you can't call yourself a Journey fan if you only selectively appreciate what each era produced.
Then again, maybe you're not a Journey fan. Just another Perry diehard on the JSS bandwagon.
Alternatively,
YOU cannot call yourself a Journey fan either, since *
YOU* have noted, in “
The Jeff Scott Soto "Telethon"...Please donate” thread that; ““
I like Journey for what it was up until last year.” In addition you note (in the same thread) “
but why should I put money in the band's pockets just because one out of five hasn't pissed me off?
So then, your support is conditional (and biased) purely based upon whether Steve Augeri is part of the band! You obviously don’t support the band now and are angry with the band- it comes out clearly in most of your posts. Now, you go after Cyndy for making a comment?

Okay, now I know for sure...hypocrisy thy name is AFI!
Please remember when you make comments about how others should support the band, yet bitch/ moan/whine at every opportunity about Augeri’s termination, YOU make YOURSELF sound worse then the so called “Loon’s” you despise! You clearly have your choice**cough** (
agenda)**cough** in regards to the direction that band is heading...without Augeri... and you are not happy. You make it clear with every post-it’s boring at best. Now, you want to dictate WHO is a fan and WHO isn’t, based on your skewered criteria- this is comical at best! Tell me, if Steve Augeri returned as lead singer tomorrow, would all be forgiven in your eyes? Would the band get your money and support then- regardless of what happened? Would all those who don’t support Augeri’s return be perceived as “non fans”?
From what I gather, Cyndy, was at the concert, therefore supports the band. *
You* have questioned giving the band *
your* money at this point in time and why. What does that say about true fan support? I really think it’s clear who the fan is in that instance and who is not.
In addition, I fail to understand the logic regarding Perry fans. I am a Perry fan. I make no apology for it! I am a JSS fan (with or without the band). Steve Augeri’s vocals did nothing for me

I wish him well, but I am not a fan of his. It’s my personal preference. I make no apology for my feelings to you or anyone. Nor do I need to justify not liking a certain era, to you or anyone. Does it mean I an not a Journey fan? By your skewered logic (and reasoning) yes, it does.
Gregg Rollie was a member of Journey. There are some fans who are not interested in the band from that era. There are other fans who would not want Steve Perry to return to Journey. In addition, there will be fans who do not want Perry or Augeri to return because they like JSS. Does that make these individuals non Journey fans because they have an interest in a specific time period or they have a preference for a particular singer? By your flawed reasoning (and logic) they can only be fans if they like all the singers and never criticize the work produced! That is not the definition of a fan, that's a zombie!
Perhaps instead of hurling judgement onto others (regarding band support and what happened and how it was handled) your energies would be best directed towards positive pursuits, such as getting your own house in order and not venting (your spleen) at every Perry/JSS/Journey Supporters (who may have no interest in the Augeri era)! Mourn all you wish that Augeri is gone, but please, let the rest of us enjoy the band (as it is now) without being labeled non fans because we don't want to go on about the (unfortunate) past events. We want to enjoy what is currently before us.
