Can't say that we ever would, though I have friends in that area...Logisitcally just can't ever see that being a possibility though!

PS- Steve Perry, Steve Augeri and JSS were also hired voices.
Never before in the band's history, however, has it been so clear what the role of the incoming frontman will be than it has now. The band appears to have made it very clear that they want someone who can replicate Steve Perry's vocals. So to paint Perry, Steve A, JSS, and Pineda with the same "hired hand" brush isn't really accurate.

NOPE. I'd pay it in a heartbeat.
Here's relevant... take a look at the venues they sell out. Take a look at how much their latest Cd sold. I see billboards of them on KROQ all over town. Where's Journey? no where.

20 years from now just how high will LP register?
Will they be treated as a time period group or will they be looked upon as group that transcends time periods?
And who ARE these bands, don't know one of them.ProgRocker53 wrote:ttango1 wrote:Playitloudforme wrote:Rockindeano wrote:LP is relevant? I'm gonna put down a healthy wager that Linkin Park will be a footnote in 20 years. It's going to be bands like Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree, Radiohead, Muse, and Tool that will be remembered the most in decades to come.

How can you compare Journey in their late 50's to linkin park in their 20's

Depends on how they handle their business. Still doesn't make them any less relevant now. Journey is playing casinos. How is that relevant?

I say it again, I prefer Jeremey...However, you are as way out there on this as you are on politics. I can see not liking a particular singer, but to say he sounds like a "rusty hinge"? Are you kidding me?

And you're extracting and isolating my comment out of context so you can exacerbate the true intent and twist it to use to your advantage like a true Fox political commentator.![]()

Back to the true topic though, Arnel slides up to some notes and sounds like a squeaky, rusty hinge when he does so. I have no more interest in the band using the name Journey with Arnel than I had in the band using the name Journey with Augeri. In fact, I have even less because now they've let me down three times. They've dissed Perry, Jeff and Jeremey.
I'm as done with them as I am with Bush and there's no more serious diss that I can bestow upon them than that.

I have faith in Arnel. I don't have faith that the band will do right by him.

They didn't diss me....They didn't act very professional the way things were handled, but hey, like someone told me at the time, "Welcome to the music business." No sweat....I think where some people get confused about things is because I felt that Neal said personal things about my wife when he had no idea about her or her character, and that's what pissed me off. Besides, how did I become a topic of conversation here anyway?
Sorry bud,but you were dissed, thank god they did it to you before you joined the band.Augeri was dissed, and Arnel wil be dissed also. Neal wants a vocal that he can play guitar to,nothing else.Check out his quotes,. "I missed not having a lead singer to play with anymore.
