OK, Scardy Girl I don't wanna bring up this fuckin' topic again when I said "end of story". But since you're fuckin' callin' me out here. I felt I'm being compelled to do so. On the record and you can check out all my previous posts. I never thrash Perry's Legacy on this board. But the Delusional Perry Worshippers like you who still can't accept the fuckin' truth - that " The Legend is Done" is what fuckin' irritates a lot of people on this board like me. My point is, why the fuck do you want the Greatest Rock Vocalist of all time (IMO) who's retired and shot to come out of his fuckin' retirement?? What??? To be exposed and fuckin' embarassed. Fuck that!! His Legacy is cemented already and Pineda can't touch him. If ya'll really love Perry, leave the fuckin' guy alone, he's gettin' paid like a Motha Fucka anyway. :!: :!: :!:

Ok, check out this Perry clip w/c I posted on page 1 of this thread. Judge for youself fairly and honestly whether he's fuckin' vocals is already shot or not. Then come back to me, alright :?:

Now, do you still want him to be fuckin' embarassed like that again?????? :?: :?: :?:

You know what? I listened to Stone in Love from 94 and yes, his voice is strained, not at all at the level of Escape, but the tone and the emotion is still there. As far as him getting paid like a mother fucker. If you're going to curse, spelling please. Damn right he's getting paid, and well he should. His name and voice are all over the dirty dozen. It's called COPY RIGHT you ass hole. Just because he's no longer with the band doesn't mean his rights stop. Every time one of his songs he either wrote or co-wrote is sung he is getting paid. Just like Cain and Schon.

Fuck ya!!! You still don't get it do you?

I understand plenty. Just tired of people who act as they know what is going on when they don't. I don't know whether he can still sing or not. A lot of me believes he still can. I can't prove it because I'm not there, but neither are you. The FLOSM tour was not an embarrassment. It was the last we saw of Steve Perry the singer. If he hadn't canceled his tour I would have been there. Clothes don't make the man, and neither do the high notes.

Just tired of people who act as they know what is going on when they don't.

It's a futile battle. Lots of armchair quarterbacks here who act as though they were personally there to witness all the rights and wrongs in 1987 and 1995; go to Jon and Neal's place for dinner twice a week; and regularly out-sing Perry when they sing beside him on Sunday afternoons! :-)

Or at least they act like they have that level of knowledge. :P

I don't know whether he can still sing or not. A lot of me believes he still can.

Of course he can still sing. Anyone who thinks we can't, I challenge you (again) to post a recording of yourself singing so we can compare.

I just don't get the "he can't sing anymore" declarations. What? Steve Perry suddenly can't hit any notes at all? He can't carry a tune at all? He's become Cameron Diaz singing in "My Best Friend's Wedding" now?

The guy set the bar so damn high in the first place. Even if he's not even close to what he once was, I'm pretty sure he's still an above average singer and not Steven Hawking at a mike or something.

. And I have no doubt he'd mop the floor with all the "he can't sing anymore" naysayers in a sing off. Strangely, none of you have taken my challenge of posting yourselves singing so we can compare ...

White Sox? That wasn't a tour. That was someone singing after screaming their lungs out. I tell you what. You go to a game, scream your lungs out and then post your best effort of DSB. The Voice will still beat you.

I don't get riled up often, but when I do, HIDE THE GUNS. My grandma , god bless her soul, loved nothing better than a little midnight on the porch gun cleaning. She once went after the old lady next door who was oogling my grandpa. Took four grown men to hold her back.

Baby powder you hair. The sand will stick to the powder and absorb some of the oil that's helping it stick so well. Shake your hair out well afterwards. Than take a brush and brush your hair. Next take a clarifying shampoo and wash at least twice. COndition as usual lastly blow dry your hair! 8)

Sorry,

Stone me
but I feel the voice that we all know is gone.
Like sands in the hours glass
so is the notes he can't find

Still I think he can learn to nurture his midrange
& bring in the vibrato of his deeper voice
the one I have heard in the shadows of time
the one that he has put aside
for the sake of the Journey rhyme

His speaking voice is still sharp & clear with vibrato
I;ve heard it
Even if he just shouted

"Let me have one of those"

LOL

HOTDOGS

Actually, I used to tyry to cover PAt Benatar in the 80's
I could hit the notes
but it was my Mom who always told me
in some other words

Go with your God given voice
I can hit soprano
but I am not a soprano
I register lower

Heck, its not the highest notes that matter

Its the water
the cool resonant vibrato
when you sing in your range.

I;ve heard him in his range
& it's round & deep & yes

Smooth as butter

Come on Steve

If you want it
Go get it

I've heard he's been doing a song or two with The Zoo recently since Arnel's been on tour with Journey. ;)

Its not as bad as I thought it was
This was Perry's first concert he was rusty
I wish I had the Pantages he was blazing by mid tour..
The band he had sucked .

Is that the LA one, if so, I have it if you want it. :)
