Sounds good for an demo that isn't fully finished.

Just how so?
It is a Jon Cain written track - and one written for a specific occasion, not a new album track. JSS does the very best he can with what he has to work with here.

I think it's odd that Jeff is such a rocker and the first (only?) song they wrote together was a schmaltzy patriotism ballad. *shrug*

HYSTERCIAL!
You know, I'm weird in that I don't HEAR the lyrics for the words they are....all I hear is the way they sound. I couldn't sing all the words to any Journey song...thats how bad I am. I just thought the song sounded good...I like it.

It's like something you'd write for Pilgrim Day at the local elementary school.
JSS sounds great, though. The only thing about his performance that I don't like is throwing in the "Yeah's". This plus his rocker tone tends to clash with the elemetary school choir lyrics and arrangement.

LOL, I like the "Yeah's" (yeahs/mmmmms/grunts) thrown in and the rocker tone. Funny how some peoples minuses are other peoples pluses! The song still hasn't grown on me, but do like the vocals.

It's like JSS wants to take it somewhere that it possibly can't go. He gives it his best shot, though! They should've rearranged it around JSS' style.

Yeah, I'd rather hear ANOTHER song about a failed love affair.
