NOW That's What I Call Rock Classic Rock release

Coming on June 3rd is the new compilation NOW That's What I Call Classic Rock!. The album, which is the first in the pop-based series to feature hard rock classics, will be released in both CD and digital formats and will include hits by the Who, the Jimi Hendrix Experience, David Bowie, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Queen, Rush, George Thorogood and the Destroyers, Foreigner, Styx, Cheap Trick, the Steve Miller Band, Peter Frampton, Heart, and others.

The tracklisting for NOW That's What I Call Classic Rock! is "We Will Rock You" by Queen; "Barracuda" by Heart; "Bad To The Bone" by George Thorogood and the Destroyers; "Spirit Of The Radio" by Rush; "My Generation" by the Who; "Fire" by the Jimi Hendrix Experience; "More Than A Feeling" by Boston; "Carry On My Wayward Son" by Kansas; "Renegade" by Styx; "Cold As Ice" by Foreigner; "Smoke On The Water" by Deep Purple; "We're An American Band" by Grand Funk Railroad; "Mississippi Queen" by Mountain; "Bad Moon Rising" by Creedence Clearwater Revival; "Sweet Home Alabama" by Lynyrd Skynyrd; "The Joker" by Steve Miller Band; "Rebel Rebel" by David Bowie; "Surrender" by Cheap Trick; "Show Me The Way (live)" by Peter Frampton; and "Rock And Roll All Nite (live)" by Kiss.
A special based around the new CD will run later this month on VH1 Classic. VH1 Classic Presents: NOW Classic Rock will air on May 31st at 8:00 PM.

Now that's a great record.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

Way ahead of ya brother. For me these are the same damn songs I play everyday and don't care if I never hear them again!!But there will somebody in a store somewhere, going: "DUDE, check out this cd!! These are all my favorite songs, EVER!"

Yeah, it's a good CD for the young 'uns to cut their teeth on. I was disappointed that Faith in the Heartland didn't make it on there. :lol:

EVERY time I hear the eye-rolling, cringeworthy opening riffs to "Takin' Care Of Business" or "The Boys Are Back In Town" or a bunch of songs on the above compilation, I think to myself "Somewhere, some GEEK just got fired up and turned up his radio."
