Styx co-founder James "J.Y." Young says that he understands why Styx's music continues to entertain and inspire their legion of fans: ["We're celebrating the positive things about life in America, life in the modern world as we know it. We bring joy to people, we bring a healing power to people. It's this therapeutic thing where people can walk into a place and leave all the crap behind them, and relive, you know, good times to the soundtrack of their glorious misspent youth

Way ahead of ya brother. For me these are the same damn songs I play everyday and don't care if I never hear them again!!But there will somebody in a store somewhere, going: "DUDE, check out this cd!! These are all my favorite songs, EVER!"
NealIsGod wrote:Yeah, it's a good CD for the young 'uns to cut their teeth on. I was disappointed that Faith in the Heartland didn't make it on there.
Just noticed: Why am I everyone's brother today?

LOL.
Too true.
EVERY time I hear the eye-rolling, cringeworthy opening riffs to "Takin' Care Of Business" or "The Boys Are Back In Town" or a bunch of songs on the above compilation, I think to myself "Somewhere, some GEEK just got fired up and turned up his radio."
