He actually went to one of the World Series games in the 1940s at Wrigley. He was a teenager at the time, and he took the bus after he got off work and got there in the 4th inning. He said the Cubs lost that game. My dad will be 80 this year, so the Cubs better hurry up and win a World Series!
I won't tell my dad that you said that! My husband used to be a Cubs fan, but they broke his heart in 1984 and he couldn't handle it anymore!Saint John wrote:jrnychick wrote:My daughter is a huge Cubs fan, and she is really excited about it! Well I certianly hope they win a World series while your dad is alive. He's been around for far too many terrible seasons. Lifelong Cubs fans deserve to see them win a World Series. But it's not going to be this year unless they sign another top notch pitcher.

Play nice, Tito.

I guess my 20 or so votes helped after all!!! This is a tremendous accomplishment for a rookie and he is well deserving of the honor. He's having a great year. Anyone have him on their fantasy team?

We had a guy in our league take him in the 11th round. It's STILL a bad pick, because he could've had him a lot later.

Who's the fucking nimrod that took him in the 11th round? My guess is LD or BC.
