The acoustic work on She's A Mystery is stunning. What an absolutely controlled, emotionally structured, yet beautifully abstract piece of the artistic side of Neal Schon. First time I've really heard that Neal in a long time. Wow. :? 8)

Now you're just getting back at me for confusing the absolute living shit out you for you to configure your filing format and audio problems. This is going to be a rough couple days to try to stay away from Eclipse torrent sites. I may have to bail before temptation gets the best of me.

Lmao which brings me to another thought. I seriously don't know what will/could/is worse: your feces through actual UPS OR Deano's pictures via text-picture message of a mountain of a fetus he calls turds.

I've gotten those picture texts from Deano that look like someone melted 30 pounds of chocolate and sprinkled it with corn.

I also love Tantra. I love the theatrical verses. Big, grandiose song. You like it, Mel?

I'm thinking a double album next time around. One with She's A Mystery and Tantra type ballads and a rocker with half of the new formula and half of the old! I think that would make everyone happy. :) Well, except that asshole, Monker.

 Yeah I keep playing those two over the others, just great stuff. I hope they consider doing either or both live, esp She's a Mystery 8)

Here Dan, this is what I posted about it in the review one, also about Tantra:

Listened a couple more times and so far the two knocking it out of the ball park to me are She's a Mystery, and Tantra. Tantra just has turns not expected and it's just a great song all around. I think people approaching it with that "oh another ballad" attitude aren't going to get it's magic, especially if they don't listen to the whole song. And then She's a Mystery... best song on the album IMO. Doesn't even sound like Journey, and that's what makes it so great. Stands apart from the rest of the album even. And that corner it turns within those last couple minutes, stinkin' brilliant.

Favorites so far are: Tantra, She's A Mystery and Someone. The Whole CD has a beautiful feel to it when played all the way through. The layers of music are stunning!

Well said! I think they're so beautiful and come across so well because they deviated from the formulaic balladry and let the artistry flow ... and it shines through! 8)

Another fan (See, Me and S2M do have decent musical taste, sometimes).
What's weird is this starts so much like a grunge tune, I can almost see some obese child running through a field during the opening notes.

After the Vevo shit and the tap dance, turn down the audio on the video and play the song at the same time, freakin' scary.

What's funny is to me, for a few seconds the guitars in the opening makes it almost sound like Ozzy's "Mama I'm Coming Home": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vbz5T3QlHY ... so funny what each of us can hear..
