Wow! Jeremy, if the rest of the CD is in this vein.... I'll be buying it. Hope you will be getting it up on Amazon MP3.com as well, since I've kicked itunes to the curb. Awesome stuff though...Awesome!

Jeremey, I'm blown away! I love it. To say Journey missed the boat....well, I think it's a bit more complicated than that. You'd have been a great fit for the sound but I think, as we know you and your family would not have been able to handle the touring schedule. No fault there. Also, one never knows what extensive touring can to to your instrument, or do we? I think you would have sounded fantastic in the studio. Keep rocking and I wish you the best! My wife and I love this song and we will definitely buy your album. :D

Wow! Best song I've ever heard you do. The overall sonic and deep melodic drums are absolutely awesome!

But...if I could offer just a smidgeon of critique...
Please avoid the 'choos' & 'joos' (what a high school voice teacher called it).
It's "don't you/won't you", not "doan choo/woan choo" & "need you", not "nee joo".
It's hard work to break that habit, but in IMO helps a song tremendously.

Definitely a good song. I agree it has a big chorus and I especially like it toward the end with that epic sounding close. Jeremey, if you get the chance to answer these posts, what ever happened to that one song you did sometime back, I think it was called "Roll Away the Stone". You had some really powerful vocals on that track as well.

Good ballad. Is this Jeremey Hunsicker? He's changed his name and going solo with original songs now?

Thanks! That was a one off song I did with Juhani Nahkala under the name "Elemental." Originally Juhani and I were going to produce an entire CD under that name, but we only had a couple of really strong songs out of the 5 or 6 we came up with, and it was really difficult to get on the same wave length working over the internet in 2003 or whenever that was. We did have a couple of really, really strong songs ("One By One" was mentioned by Cain as a possible contender to bring to the Journey sessions at one point), but it just kind of fizzled out. I'm glad you liked it though!

Thank you man, that's Vic Rivera on drums, who's known mostly for his guitar and writing but did an incredible job on the drums on several of the songs on the CD.

This is a very solid song with a bit of an "out of the box" chorus that I really like. Nice work.

Yes and no. The song itself stands on its own I think. Jeremey seems to be not trying to copy Journey's sound at all. However by the end of the song the voice inflections remind me of the best of Perry on Trial By Fire. That's a compliment. Also most likely semi unavoidable.

Flat out, it's a good AOR song. That's all that matters.

WBDJ7 interview with Jeremey

Postby tater1977 » Thu Oct 13, 2011 10:35 pm

After finding success in a Journey tribute band, a Roanoke musician is singing his own tune

http://www.wdbj7.com/news/wdbj7-jeremey ... 6907.story

Jeremey Frederick launched a Kickstarter campaign to finance his new CD

Joe Dashiell

Reporter

10:17 p.m. EDT, October 12, 2011
ROANOKE, Va.— He's built a successful career as the frontman for a tribute band. Now Jeremey Hunsicker is working on his own music. And he's hoping supporters in western Virginia will help him reach a new audience.

Jeremey Frederick onstage, he's the lead singer of the Journey tribute band Frontiers. "I've been doing Frontiers for nine years now," Hunsicker told News7 in an interview. "I've been doing it full time for the past four years."

He almost joined Journey four years ago, but with his wife Sabrina and sons Theron and Quinn, he's happy with his life in Roanoke, and looking forward to a new record of his own.

"As a tribute band singer is it frustrating sometimes not to get what I do out there," Frederick asked. "The answer is yes, because you know being in Frontiers has been a small portion of what I do."

Hunsicker recently turned to Kickstarter.com, a website that helps raise money for creative projects, and he's halfway to his goal.
He's hoping friends and supporters will put him over the top, and allow him to produce his own CD.

"I'm an entertainer. I like to sing and make people happy," Hunsicker told us, "but I'm also a musician and a creative person and that's something that you just can't not do."

Click here for a link to Hunsicker's Kickstarter.com project.
