On Sunday I was a bit depressed because Kellie's birthday was coming up so I went for a drive and ran into Martha Quinn at a street fair.

Though his heart may be broken, Steve Perry is continuing on with his music. He and his Journey bandmates start their summer tour at the end of June.

People who don't have depression don't use phrases such as "I was depressed."On Sunday I was a bit depressed because Kellie's birthday was coming up so I went for a drive and ran into Martha Quinn at a street fair.

I didn't think you were knocking Steve at all.
Newsflash #2: "I was feeling depressed" is many times just a saying. Like "I'm feeling sad." Or "I'm down today." Doesn't mean someone is clinically depressed. I can state this from personal experience as those phrases have come out of my mouth many times and I am (thankfully) not clinically depressed.

I've never heard any of my guy friends say "I am depressed" or "I was depressed". They just say "Let's buy a case of beer" or "Let's smoke some ganja".
