OT: "Bubble Gum" music

OH DEAR. I heard this song on the radio the other day on a station I flip to sometimes if nothing else is on (Top 40) and I liked it. It was upbeat, kind of bubble gum-ish. I was bopping along with it in the car thinking, "That isn't bad". I just found out it was Miley Cyrus' "Party In The USA". I started thinking how embarrassed my Nine Inch Nails loving 13 yr old niece would be and I suddenly feel old. Then I thought how funny it would be to get her in the car and turn that song on.

I would call Miley Bubble-gum music, but one day I heard one of her songs and I liked it...and I have no idea what it was called. When the DJ on the radio said it was Miley, I thought WOW, she did that song very good, but I doubt I will run out and buy her CD for just one song. If I find out the name of the song, I might buy it from ITunes.

I think it's a really good song but wouldn't call this bubble gum. Miley is growing up to be a lovely young woman & she has a great voice for country music.

The song she did with her dad about letting go and her moving on is a good one too.
