UNC should be grateful for that gift they got in the final seconds of the NIT semifinals against URI, and call it fuckin day..
RI also got lucky that they didn't call the foul on the 3pt shot at the end of regulation that would have won it for UNC then without going to overtime. If you watch the replays, the UNC guy was fouled on the 3pt shot with about 1 second left.
I was always taught that the HAND was part of (extension) the ball...judgment call, at best on that play.

He has a LIFETIME contract at DUKE...he won't take it.
Tonight he will pass Robert Montgomery Knight for 3rd place behind Rupp and Wizard of Westwood....he'll pass Rupp within 5 years.....no one's touching Wooden....
GO DUKE!!!!!!!
I don't think he'll take it either. I'm sure he would be successful in the NBA as good as he is preparing for games (which is the major difference betw college and the pros, IMO...as talent can compensate for a lot at the college level). Unless he has something to prove to himself, he has nothing to gain by leaving Duke at this stage. Some people may not like him, and some of his players are certainly easy to hate (ie Laettner), but he graduates players and wins. It's hard to ask more than that from a college coach.
I'm more of a UNC fan than a Duke one (hard to escape it when you live between the two and have ties to both), but I think Duke will win tonight unless they have a monumental collapse, cold shooting night or major injury.StocktontoMalone wrote:However, tripping another player, no matter how inadvertent, is a foul no matter what....
No disagreement there. Watching the replays, it's obvious the reason was the RI player who fell into/pushed Graves who then collided with the ball-person. For better or worse, things aren't called in the last few seconds the way they are for the rest of the game. I think it should have been called...but it is what it is.

If he signs somewhere else I will post a video of me trying to sing a song ridiculously out of my range or something else equally embarrassing.

I wouldn't piss on Duke if it were on fire, but I gotta admire Coach K's loyalty. A rare commodity these days among collegiate coaches.
I'm with ya dude. Hate Duke. They feel they are entitled to this championship every year. I love it when Coach K starts balling when he loses, and calls them :kids" like they lost a parent or something. Hey dickhead, there's 200 other teams out there as well who didn't win it as well. Go get a napkin you fuckin fairy. The ever bitter S2M wrote:Tonight he will pass Robert Montgomery Knight for 3rd place behind Rupp and Wizard of Westwood....he'll pass Rupp within 5 years.....no one's touching Wooden....[/quote]
You surer about this? Butler hasn't won 25 games in a row on luck.
At least you didn't say Coach Crybaby was as good as Coach Wooden. The best coach ever in any sport.
Oh and while I'm at it, I hope to Hell Stanford takes down that gum chewing asshole Geno Auriemma and his stable of horse looking bitches the UCONN 'women." Go PAC10.
Ehwmatt wrote:The dominance of that UConn women's team just set women's basketball back even farther than it already was. It's embarrassing that there is that little parity in the game.

LOL, I wouldn't be so sure Sponge. I can see him in LA. They have the money, and he's all about the Benjamin's.

Bird rights, my friend. Cavs can give him the max, $30 million more than any other team. It IS all about the money for sure, forget what these guys saying about wanting to win. The fact is, he can win NOW and make the most money with us. He already renewed his Nike deal and it's been confirmed that there's no LA/NY/NJ bonus clause in it. He's already a world commodity in Cleveland. He's not getting bigger elsewhere.
He's also an astute student of the history of the game. He knows that the true greats had a legacy with one team. Tack on the fact that it's his hometown, and it's a pretty tough case to make that he's leaving. When he wants to party in NY or LA, it's a mere private jet flight away. He wins and makes the most cash here.
Like I said, if he leaves, I'll be glad to record and post a video doing something incredibly embarrassing for all to see.

For the record, I was talking about the Clippers, not the other LA team.

A few things I've learned from the first half:
Lance Thomas sucks
Over the back isn't a foul anymore...![]()
Refs ain't calling shit
Zoubek is slow as shit

When you complain about calls or non calls, you lose ALL credibility. It's always the refs fault.Come on man, you can't be serious. I can only imagine being a teammate of yours..Bitch bitch bitch complain. I would throw your ass off the fucking team faster than Shaq mowing a double Whopper.
