I hope Conan flat BURIES the Tonight Show...

Me too. Used to like Jay until he stole Stuttering John away from Howard. He is a despicable douche. I don't think Conan has a chance to bury him though, being on TBS vs NBC. The odds are just stacked against him.

Did I just recently hear that Leno is now tanking bad? Seems like I heard a random story about that sometime this week. Good, hope so. Conan won't bury him from the shadows of a cable channel, but if he buries himself, that's just as good.

Hell I forgot all about Stern. Is he still on Sirius? Did Artie Lange ever come back to the show? I heard he stabbed himself trying to commit suicide.

He may or may not beat Leno. I hope he fucking leaves him in the dust. But at least with this show he can do things the way he wants and not be forced into the BLAND image that NBC wanted.

Dude, Stern is the highest paid person in entertainment. 500 million for 5 years. Yea, he is still on Sirius. Artie quit Heroin, vicodin, quaaludes and coke. He did stab himself but he survived. He is coming back thankfully. Go read his book, "Too Fat to Fish." Hilarious. I had tears in my eyes reading his stories.

Good points all around. I wonder who will lead the Conan Band. Max Weinberg quit after getting 7 million a year to do that gig. I guess he makes enough with E Street to make ends meet though.

Yeah Howard's on the final year of his 5 year contract with Sirius. He may or may not re-sign. He keeps saying he's gonna retire, but my money is on his re-signing. Artie did try comitting suicide but he's doing OK now from what I've heard and he has even done a few stand up shows recently.

I saw it in the book store a couple of months ago. I saw it and started laughing my ass off. The wife asked what was so funny and I tried to retell the story he told on the show how his mom told him he was too fat to fish! I think I'll pick it up the next time I get to the book store. Thanks for the reminder Dean!

Jimmy Vivino is now leading the band. It's now called The Basic Cable Band. I think its most of the original 7 with Wormworth taking Max's spot

The rumour I keep hearing from Springsteen boards is Max must commit to Bruce for a "Final Tour." I guess it is a farewell tour that will last two years. Word is there will be a 20 night stands in New York/New Jersey (Meadowlands Stadium) and 5-10 night stands elsewhere like LA, London, Madrid, etc. Last year, Max missed about half the tour because of his commitment to Conan, and his son Jay, 17 years old, filled in. What a pressure packed situation for a 17 yr old, eh?

Wow, no shit. I saw somewhere online an interview with Max that said he recently had heart surgery to repair a valve or something. It was something he never told anybody about. Damned if I can remember where I saw it. But he said touring AND Conan were not in his future because of it so he chose to tour. Could be related to the Final Tour Commitments?

Yeah he told almost not everybody. Of course he told Bruce, and this is partly why they are taking some time off between tours. You have to remember Clarence can hardly walk, and is almost 70! The rest of the band, Max included, is in great shape.
