Yes, before promoter and manager fees (and other miscellaneous shit) are deducted which looks to account for about 66% in Journey's case (yes, Azoff gets paid like a mother fucker). It looks like the other 11 million dollars earned last tour (26 million total box office) goes to the two opening acts though I don't know the percentages of that split. Benatar probably got the lion's share I would think.
The 6.9 million net is before personal fees and taxes, like individual managers or personal assistants or what not.. those are paid out of each band members individual salaries; obviously, the bigger the entourage the more slices out of your own take home amount. At least 1.8 million of that 6.9 is for royalties, licensing and other things that won't be divided up with all of the current band members either.
