Clean around fire hydrants and raise your wiper blades upright (if possible) so that they do not freeze. Keep the water at a slow drip (faucet) so that you do not have frozen pipes. Let it snow, let it snow, I love this season.

My wiper blades are already frozen to the windshield. Too late for that. I may be lucky to thaw my truck out by Friday at this rate.
Journey Mom wrote:Snowing like a banshee in Chicago right now. Has been for several hours. 50 mph wind gusts too. Glad I stocked up on booze before it hit!

Stay warm. It's 10 degrees here and there are reports of "rolling blackouts". They should just call it what it is. Load shedding.

If tomorrow that four legged little fur ball doesn't come out of his hole to say Spring will be here soonly, I'm going to Pennsylvania so I can slice and serve him to Jack Frost.
I second that motion!
And we're getting 2 feet in 24 hours, so put that in your pipe and smoke it, John-Boy!
Hoping to have my first "snow day" in about 12 years tomorrow. Junk food, Wii, and not having a heart attack shoveling are in my plans. Y'all be safe!
You young ones don't remember the blizzard of '79![]()

Oh, yes, I lived there in the '79 Chicago blizzard...and, to think we were out driving in it - or trying to! I still miss snow, but I do feel for you guys right now...2 feet?! Holy moly. Have lots of hot cocoa.

We can relate Rick!! (except for the popping out part![]()
) Going from shorts weather to teens and snow is a shocker for the body! People up north can't get that! We aren't built for that once you are in the south a couple of years!!
