Not only that, but there is something just fundamentally WRONG with making some of the dwarves good looking. You would think that, at this point in his career, PJ would have enough clout to not bow to dumb studio pressures like that. They pretty much tried to make Thorin another version of Aragorn. To me, this is much closer in line with what Thorin should look like.

Dwarves are supposed to be ugly things, the equivalent of small hairy boulders with limbs. But they had to make the three dwarves they offed "the cute ones" or all the goobers in the audience wouldn't weep. Notice not-a-one of the ugly ones died.

I postponed seeing the film, but am glad I did. The hype was well deserved.

Best movie of the year for me. The film absolutely earned its hype. Visually stunning, great cast, and they could have had McConaughey go "Alright, alright, alright!" and I would've let Nolan get away with it because it's such a badass movie. The docking sequence was superb. The film had just the right balance of action and incident. I thought the twist at the end was cool, and the ending, too. At first I was like "WTF" with TARS and CASE but by the end those robots were ready for their places in SF canon, especially after the spiral rescue.

Btw, be glad Spielberg never made this movie in the late 2000s or it would have dripped the usual formulaic Hollywood bull.

Interstellar is a movie everybody should watch, in the THEATER if at all possible. For the record, I was also late to the party, but it was mostly circumstantial and for once not entirely a matter of procrastination.

I found it to be VERY predictable and also suffered from being way too long. The 'twist' at the end I had figured out before they even left Earth...it was just obvious to me. I don't think this is a "must see" for everyone...I would say if you like things like "2001 A Space Odyssey" or "The Day the Earth Stood Still"...science fiction stories that try to be realistic in many ways and still tell a "human" type story...and maybe add a bit of weirdness and cool robots. That's where "Interstellar" lands. It's not ET or Star Wars.

I didn't mind the look of Thorin so much. He reminded me a lot of Gowron from ST:TNG. Balin was always my favorite anyway...in the book and in the animated movie. He was perfect in this move.

Henry Cavill:

Regarding rumors:
"Batman V Superman will NOT split into two movies"

On Ben Affleck:
"Ben is a great Batman."

On if he was injured during the altercation and fight with Batman:
"Are you kidding? I'm the Man of Steel."

On if Batman V Superman will be better than Avengers:
"You'll see."

Henry Cavill:

"It's Zack Snyder. Batman V Superman will be a visual spectacle. Cinema history with Batman and Superman all at once. Ben Affleck is a legend, did his thing and is great. I love where this is going. I love the Superman character and hope to play him for many, many, many more years to come."

‘Batman V Superman’ Choreographer Promises Epic Showdown

Fight choreographer Guillermo Grispo promises that fans won’t be disappointed by the superhero showdown in Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

“There’s a thought that Batman has no chance, that the Superman will squash him like a bug,” Grispo, whose credits include Kingsmen: The Secret Service and The Legend of Hercules, told Los Andes Diario. “But when you see the movie, and how it all comes out, there’s a very intelligent explanation as to why they would have a firsthand confrontation, though it seems to be totally to Batman’s disadvantage.”

He explained that he wanted to approach the film’s fights from a more technical angle than director Christopher Nolan in his Dark Knight trilogy. “Now Batman is going to fight the way I’ve always dreamed seeing him fight,” Grispo said. “He’s a character so prepared in martial arts that you can do a lot of things with him, but filmmakers usually don’t go all the way with it. Even in the last Nolan movies the action scenes aren’t very good from a technical, martial arts point of view to things like choreography, filming, bad camera movements …

“Don’t get me wrong, Nolan is great, my hat’s off to him … but I think that he did not pay too much attention to the fights,” Grispo continued. “Those are the kind of details that Zack, being so physical himself, loves preparing. I think there’s going to be a big difference when you see these Batman fights in comparison to the previous ones.”

Opening March 25, 2016, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Jesse Eisenberg, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot and Laurence Fishburne.

I have a feeling that the showdown between Supes and Bats will come from a 3rd party source BOTH out of Superman and Batman's control at the point in the movie. In wrestling, they call it a swerve. Maybe something like mind control is the culprit or magic is involved. Maybe everybody is expecting Green Kryptonite, but maybe we will be introduced to Red Kryptonite instead, which makes Superman loony and disrupts his behavior beyond explanation. That...

would be awesome.

Dude, that is EXACTLY what I was thinking: a red-kryp rad dispenser that Batman crop dusts Supes with.

There will definitely be a common enemy (Metallo, I can only assume) against whom the trinity will unite after they beat up on each other for our comic book-lovin' benefit!
