I hope everyone stays safe and that the rain does not wreak too much havoc, but I very much enjoy this weather during the winter months. And it's certainly more appropriate than, say, a 77-degree and sunny Christmas.

chynablue wrote:...it's wet. And cold. It's bloody wet & cold! We live on a mountain and there's so much water running down the hill. Hooping it tapers off in time for Christmas, so I can drive my kids 1/2 hour into the forest and let them play in what I'm sure will be many feet of snow!

The ocean is angry and looks like a muddy pond, but this morning I found strawberries all over the beach!Oh, and a couple of crazy surfers with icy blue faces. LOL...

Just as long as your house doesn't go sliding down a freakin hill. For all of great things about California, it sure has some messed up things to go along with it. If it's not floods and landslides, it's fires and earthquakes. Makes life interesting, huh?

It's flat where I'm at, and those homes that are sitting on the hills around us...those hills are pretty much all rock.

How many inches of rain have you got there?

I thought you lived in Australia?

Are you in Sunnyvale in the southbay. Don't worry, if you are in the southbay, the sun will be out as soon as this crap weather pattern passes through. Now if you were in San Bruno or north, I would tell you to get used to the overcast. Especially this time of year.
With that all said, I do hope you are enjoying your visit. Give us a little update when you have some time.
