We have good run to September. Another percentage boost this week against Eddie "s Maggies. Same about Gardenier, he should have done it behind play not in front the umpire. Cousions must have Brownlow acceptance speech already written, he playing a blinder this year.

 We get rolmops in the supermarkets here too S-dip. I eat them quite often. They are especially tasty with new potatoes. I didn't try them in Finland. There was a very different variety of seafood over there though with fresh and smoked fish and it was nice to try something diferent. We do get a great variety of European and Asian food here in Australia.

Well me and my house survived hurricane Dennis. In fact, where I live, it wasn't bad at all. It lost strength before it hit shore and we weren't on the bad end of it anyway. I'm very happy about that. However, Rob and I are seriously considering looking for a new place to live. I'm sick of running from hurricanes and sick of the heat and humidity. Our beach is really screwed up from hurricane Ivan and Dennis didn't help it. With the beach messed up, there is no reason for me to stay here.

Come to think of it, I do eat pickled herrings... small pieces of them go into a salad I like, with red beets (beetroots?). Odd really, both ingredients I can't stand to eat when served separately.

Yes. It is good for you and for years I tried to convince myself that it was good for me too. I forced myself to eat it YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I eat it raw, grated in salad and it's not too bad. Or in juice. That's it. I refuse to eat the stuff in cans.

You know I would have felt myself that drinking the juice would be a whole lot worse than just eating it - grated in salad is nice though........even though I like the stuff, I couldn't bring myself to drink it, and I have tried.

I stick to carrot, apple and celery when I'm feeling healthy (or guilty)

Yeah I treid it pure once too.....and that was the last time.
I tended to stick with carrot and apple in the main......I had a friend who used to juice all kinds of stuff - like cabbage, squash, beetroot......

Nah, Bobbi's perception is just a bit off... I wanted to prove that with a picture, but couldn't find a good one. Let's say it's so delicate that pictures can't possibly do it justice!

He'd want one too perhaps... Now that the attention on Plamegate has succesfully been decreased.

Sorry, I am not in a very good mood... my eyes still hurt from rolling them when I was watching the news. I think I could do with a drink as well.

I am at the point now where I have to be very selective in what news I watch......a lot of news especially on commercial networks seems almost like a cheerleading exercise for the war on the noun.
I notice that the 'Patriot' act was made permanent last night......whilst John Howard mumbled something about upgrading our already scary 'ASIO' act because of the London bombings!!?? (Is Sydney only a couple hundred KMS from London, or something??)

I feel right now that we are being herded like cattle into a place where our privacy and freedom will never be the same again. Watch for restrictions or monitoring of the internet very soon, becasue of 'terrorist' websites. These are dark days indeed, and I am far more fearful of my Governments actions than any bunch of 'terrorists'.

Sorry about the politicial rant, I am just a little sad about the state of affairs right now.

Yeah, giving up our freedom so that our Governments can defend it, makes perfect sense...

You know, the BBC were also selective last Thursday. They cut off John Howard's live statement at the pressconference at No. 10 somewhere halfway(?) in order to switch to the regular news broadcast. ;)

Well, enough of that! Today is promising to be a much better day anyway. SnakeLady and her hubby are coming to visit, and go out to dinner with us. Looking forward to that very much!
