The Positive Journey Thread

Postby JourneyTroll » Fri Aug 05, 2005 4:48 am

I challenge all of you to list only three positive statements about Journey in this thread.

NO negative comments about others or their contribution allowed in this thread.

Here are my three positive statements about Journey:

1. Journey has been a rock band for 30 years.
2. Journey has a new album in 2005.
3. Journey is touring in 2005.

1. Journey has recorded a lot of great music.
2. Journey has some of the most loyal and "enduringly emotional" fans around.
3. Journey's music in the 80's influenced many of the artists who have come along since that time.

Ugh. No it's not.

Journey is the music that comes out of a respectful and functional working relationship, like the band had before ROR and now has with Arrival and Generations.

NiG, I think the point is that all of Journey has been a trial by fire. They have done things and they have learned from them. That is why they have continued to evolve.

Neal, please only state 3 positive things about Journey in this thread. You should delete your comment because you failed to list 3 things that are positive about Journey.

1. Journey sounds great in concert.
2. Journey has great musicians.
3. Journey has loyal fans.

My thread states to only lists three positive things about Journey. In addition, the thread states no negative comments. Since Neal and you failed to follow my simple request, I am disappointed in both of you.

Journey tours each year.
Journey has had the same lead guitarist since the inception of the band.
Journey has great ballads and rockers.

Hypocrisy does not suit you. It is a free forum.

But since you're in charge ok:

Journey in my opinion is a better live band than U2

Generations in my opinion is better than How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb.

Journey has a very good lead singer.

Hi Red13JoeyPA,

I knew you could almost follow the simple directions without resorting to name calling. Good job.

1. Journey will play at any size venue.
2. Journey has had great drummers.
3. Journey does have a great singer...Deen! :D

Journeytroll-

Haven't you said this before:

Journey will NEVER make the HOF
Journey plays crappy venues
Journey needs to re-invent themselves

??

Lying piece of crap

If you need me to, I can/will research this and validate my statement:)

Deano - what's it going to take? Seriously!

Generally speaking I agree with some of your views - but your delivery sucks ass.

Continually I have asked you to address fellow posters with respect. I have asked others the same and the majority respect my request.
A couple are walking a fine line between getting kicked off, but none more than you.

You walked away from the board for a week and in that time I got no complaints and no PMs.
You start up again and bugger me, instead of formatting the Neal Schon interview, I am here typing this crap out for your benefit.

What's it going to be?

And before you say it - I'm on MY SIDE. I want a trouble free board that operates without me having to waste time controlling it.

I await your decision.

Hi Rock 'n Deano.

A person can change his/her mind about Journey. I have.

1. Journey has a huge California fan base.
2. Journey might some day tour Europe.
3. Journey fans like getting a free Generations CD with a ticket purchase.

My decision? Of course I like your board. However, what did I say, that was inaccurate, or untrue?

He has 4 personalties. He came in here and said exactly what I posted.

Journey WILL not make the HOF.
Journey plays lousy venues

I can cut and paste if you like.

So I called him a lying piece of crap? Since when is that awful? I truly believe he is, and I make no bones about it.

By the way, during my week of hiatus, the board was boring as Hell...

And what exactly is "I hope you're happy for me, I'm getting engaged?" That isn't self indulgent?

Of course I like this place and want to stay, but let us fight each other...it does honesty justice.

2) Journey's music continues to sell, as seen with Greatest Hits hitting a recent high of #9 on the Billboard Pop Charts.

3) Journey puts on entertaining shows that appeal to many generations.
