Example of good promotion/management (for Deano)

Postby jrnyman28 » Tue Aug 16, 2005 1:43 am

On the front page, Andrew reports that Bon Jovi made the most of their time in NY by filming a 2nd video for their new CD. They have just released "Have A Nice Day" as a single (I haven't seen a video yet but I am sure I will soon) and the CD is not out yet. Bon Jovi is already investing in another single.

That is a very pro-active stance for a band that has been around for 20 years now AND is starting to see a decline in sales. It shows the confidence and faith in this band and it's music. And it looks like a case of 'spending money to make money' like Deano outlined in his manager ideas....

Thoughts?

Yes, and I guarantee you they will be double popular than Journey because Journey plays it safe....I am so pissed at Journey, I won't even listen to their cd's....disgusted...I feel cheated.. I feel an ass for admitting I am a fan of theirs..

Well that's a bit harsh Deano, even for you.

Of course Journey has some obstacles to overcome that Bon Jovi never did. So BJ was able to stay current, stay in the public eye and retain their entire fanbase. This makes it easier for them to 'invest' in themselves financially.

It still boils down to WDJW? (What Does Journey Want)
