Take the band over to Iraq, AND Afghanistan and do free shows. Bring the whole kit and kaboodle. Lights, stage, everything. Give out the CD's, give them "Out of Harms' Way"- dedicate it to them...This would make news all over the USA.. This isn't some Kid Rock showing up to pound free beer and play fuckin' horshoes...This would be a real concert.

You don't think those in the Uniform would ALWAYS remember that? As for Journey, they could actually prove their mettle and be "a soldiers' band." All the networks would carry a news clip of it..Hell, even contract it out to a cable network(not Fox-right wing fucko's)...

Dean, this is a great idea! The soldiers love it when celebrities/musicians go over to entertain the troops.

So while Journey, protected and barricaded against the "evil inusrgency," sings Out of Harm's Way, the soldiers will continue to be IN harm's way, fighting a senseless war for oil and profit.

Oh, but as long as the troops know that some outdated rock band is rooting for them, they'll be okay!
